Newcrest will want to make an offer for Haverion asap, that imo will be as soon as they believe they have a very good understanding of size and grade, that resides within this behemoth. They are going at this hammer and tongues to achieve above comment.

That may come end of month before official MRE, but I don't think they'll offer for GGP in its entirety. That would be a little wreckless of Mr Biswas, given he has no firm data on which to form any sort of value, as yet. But that will in all likelihood come from a separate JV agreement in due course.

WRT Haverion, they may well have sufficient data by end of this month to make a fair offer for 30%. Which may well be circa 20 moz, knowing there's more for later and knowing, we would be happy for a fair value offer on 20 moz.
But if they let this number increase to “Bigger than damn big”, let's say 30 moz before any offer, then Mr Biswas is open to strong criticism from his shareholders for not acting expeditiously. I believe there will be an indicative offer by end of month.

Talk of 10p or 11p just won't do it imo. To get it passed they need to be way above sp at time of offer and we may be at 10p before month end, so they know it's going to take 15p to 20p to make it happen.
They need to keep GGP sweet, as they will be desperate for Scallywag and Blackhills.

Expect some very strong buying from now, any leak re offer and sp could treble in one day.

My expectations and subsequent impact on sp is not the point, it's how the BOD make statements to shareholders and then don't deliver with absolute impunity.

They make promises and they have the contemptuous arrogance to then ignore what they said forever, as if never said.
