Two stand out comments here,,,

Not very promising NPV calculations,,,,,, really ? let's take a look at ours shall we, ;-)

"Brazilian Nickel is forecasting an even larger deficit by 2025 with nickel supply at around 2.3 million mt and demand of 2.85 million mt (up 650,000 mt) with 400,000 mt estimated from battery production — up some 370,000 mt from 2017.

It therefore seems likely that investment in nickel mining will pick up in the coming 12 months, particularly if nickel prices continue to increase this year and adoption rates remain on an upward trend. This could make 2018 the tipping point for nickel investment.

The technology is clearly pointing to higher nickel content in batteries in the next decade while current nickel supply appears insufficient to cope with this future demand.

Indeed, though imv, 200,000 tonnes will trigger double digit $ per pound price.

That could be as early as October.

259,332 tonnes was Thursday's close, so Friday saw a 1,830 tonne drop, very nice, keep it coming.

"What jumps out is the "17,500 tonnes of nickel in 2018" figure. Current world consumption of nickel is in the region of 2.1m tonnes pa. 1% of that is 21,000 tonnes. In other words Tesla alone will account for close to 1% of the market this year."

Lets explore this a little further, of that 2.1m t pa, how much is class 1 nickel / battery grade ?

"Roskill estimates that production of nickel sulphate in 2017 amounted to 116kt Ni, up from 93kt Ni in 2016"

Now this really gets interesting, that 17,500 tonnes for Tesla amounts to considerably more than 1% of class 1 nickel, or am I over thinking this ?

If it is the case, nickel sulphate stocks will run out real quick.

Makes you wonder how many tonnes VW will consume annually when they are in full swing. How many car brands and models do they have?

Remember, there are paid spooks, they are paid money to dump their carp on bb's to spook folk, to sow seeds of doubt.

There are many nervous investors out there and these spooks are sent out to do a job on the weak.

That the spivs seem only to apply negative and not positive news to the sp.

When a sell goes in they drop the mid and bid price, but when it's a buy, they do nothing, again very fair and honest practice, not.

GEFCO MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION, would not have happened if GEFCO did not believe the above statement was going to happen.

And I think the trigger for the scramble will be when it drops through 200k tonnes.

At some point in the not too distant future, there's going to be one helluva scramble to get this class 1 nickel out of LME inventory.
