It's the EU making this difficult and our weak government giving in to them. They have to trade with us if they want to survive as a federalist entity but so its in their interest to continue with tariff free trade. Even if they don't we control our ports so it's easy to let EU goods pass through again tariff free. What EU business is going to stop supplying to the UK market? Only a fool would do so. The issue is the gravy train and making people think it's a good idea so that the 10,000 'employees' in Brussels and beyond are worth their six figure salaries.
