IIs lend to shorters for a fee, and this is recorded as investment income - cosmeticising the books.

Major holders aren't selling because most of them have averages over £5.00 per share. More worryingly for the longs is that Sam and AZV are not buying.

The agreement is between the lender and the borrower. I worked in this industry and with regard to TLW, the lenders who in most cases have averages over £5 per share will be glad to be rid of the shares in return for what will be described on their books as 'investment income'.

Still no sign of insiders buying, I wonder why...

Who says that they have to close their short. They may well have a agreement with the lender to merely compensate them - as clearly the IIs have written this off.
