IF TM is unable to reach an agreement with the HOC as to the acceptance of the Olly Robbins arrangement with the breakdown cover - in perpetuity - then we have no deal - we leave the EU on 29 March and trade will revert to WTO terms as a default. In any case we have no deal (no trade deal) and whatever TM says - "Brexit will be delivered" - b that will only be because we will not be part of the EU.

Hogwash , circumlocution, lies and all matter of deceits are now called "politics".

I have little background info other than the amendments are a bit like the Emperor's clothes. The EU will see through that.

What happened to this country? I know we have imported a lot of very basic skills/ no skills but this cannot account for the abject failure of the HOC to respect what it is - what it should be. If the HOC has no respect for what it is then ER has to dissolve parliament. We cannot have Grieve, Cooper et al being allowed to dictate govt policy.

Under the Westminster system Her Majesty’s Government controls the Parliamentary agenda. Backbenchers should not arbitrarily be able to take away that power. How does this affect the national interest at a time when the Government is negotiating with the EU? Where does power lie? Who controls the legislative agenda? Who is accountable and how? These are all fundamental questions for our democracy, not playthings for anti-Brexit MPs to tinker with.
Some of the present machinations bring our unwritten constitution and Parliamentary system into disrepute. They threaten the viability and integrity of the House of Commons as whole.
