A little theory of mine at the moment is that when Thorny River is finally fully permitted it will be sold for £xmillion leaving us with a healthy cash balance, more than likely exceeding market cap to plough into exploration in Zimbabwe and Botswana, I dont think we are going to end up mining TR
It seems James is back on site at MARS today, its possible that we may be looking at a mining restart there on the new blow that was found some time ago
Link?
I am also thinking the same for annual results , and increased expenses, they are not going to look great, in my opinion a deal in botswana is some time off yet but we could be holding on results for thorny river permits
Very hard to estimate as we dont know the breakdown of size, quality, colour etc. you have also got to remember that we only get a15% share of the revenue (more for special stones) the 1600 carats figure is also believed to be quite old now but the update on Thursday should give us more recent detail
100 carat stone found at MARS and special dividend ;)
Looks like we have hit the lowest price since 2020 now, with all sorts of irons in the fire as in the words of yazz surely it must be ...the only way is up!
Yes the information we have had from James is that as the operation is relatively small there is no significant security on site so the information about what is being found is being withheld, it is frustrating as we might be finding some significant quality stones from the new blow either as we speak or shortly. I guess we are trying to keep costs down as much as possible
And just to prove me wrong a 1mill sell comes through lol
Looks like we have hit the bottom with a 0.60 ask, sells have dried up, we may be here for some time without a decent announcement though
If we are trenching i believe this means that we have removed enough overburden and potentially hit the paydirt on what we believe to be the M3 deposit at Mars already, the trench samples are possible being processed to define the size and extent of M3 to enter full production on??
Its a good question for jc to answer thorny, i suspect yes as we are currently clearing the overburden of an addition blow, I have asked the question already if we would continue mars operations when thorn river permits arrive but JC wouldnt be drawn on this so i am guessing this would depend on what else might be found on the MARS permit area in the meantime while we wait

will cleantech bid?
Cant see the pit for the new deposit on this image, we are supposed to be 7m down already with 8 to go before we hit the top of the blow which is incredibly quick progress
I agree and the users will simply switch to different non disposable products however can also see this dropping further on sentiment with a ban announcement
Yes presuming it happens it wouldnt be an end to the industry but the manufacturers would have to change their product mix
Although supremes business is not just disposable vapes, they also supply a lot of liquids however there would be a big impact

Nicely written rns, it clarifies how the government partnership involvement could be which has been rather unknown
Botswana diamonds are in advanced discussions to buy this asset, at the moment the care and maintenance costs and the potential costs of environmental rehabilitation obligations if the sale cannot be made will be holding back GEM
