No apologies to me! I'm not fussed, neither by others' mistakes, nor mine* (P.S. if anybody is counting). I regret gently teasing Pumpky about semicolons earlier; it was meant in a good natured way, but subsequent posting has cast it in a different light (not that any of it's too serious; I doubt Pumpky's on the verge of swinging him/her/themselves off the nearest rafter. If you are, step down, hugs for all).
*in an informal setting like this. The amount of people trying to sell me stuff/service who seem oblivious to the lack of care they're communicating from the outset....amazing.
dino - the amount of useful chat going on on these boards lately, it might as well become a dating board - at least somebody might get something out of it! LOL
Folks, have a sense of irony; look at the thread title.... patience - towards people, and towards profit.
@Pumpky
I think you're the only person I've seen mentioning Saudi Arabia in the last six months - would you mind filling us/me in on what that's about and your insights there? Genuine question.
Less seriously; I'm also curious about your consistent unique use of the space-less semicolon ;-)
(That one being a playful friendly wink).
This is great news. I really thought they'd shelved it - happy to be wrong.
Alastair Smith CEO "...We are now developing a pipeline of IVD products as well as improving the performance of our antigen test for COVID-19 to ensure it can be commercialised as soon as possible.
We are confident and excited about the immediate and long-term future prospects of the Group, with both potential near-term value drivers relating to AVA6000's clinical trial progress, a pipeline of IVD products and a redeveloped SARS-CoV-2 antigen test offering immediate and long-term opportunities."
...
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer's Statement: "The Diagnostics Division is now focused on developing its own products and is positioned to deliver a pipeline of in-vitro diagnostic tests, including the re-development of its SARS-CoV-2 antigen test in the light of the emergence of highly mutated variants, to drive sales revenue and profitability."
Not sure how to call it on pre-sales/initial orders...
I wouldn't be disappointed if numbers are low-ish, as it's tough to get a buyer to commit to a product which doesn't actually exist (in mass product form) and isn't proven in the market -- especially for a timely product in a crowded market (with approximate) alternatives.
On the other hand; there's only one reason to pursue the US and that's scale. Taking your first product to the states (and opening offices there) speaks to confidence and ambition and suggests to me that they already have sales in place, -- and don't forget it's a different product entering the market and opening new use cases for the first time.
I wouldn't be surprised if the initial orders are high, either.
5 factors to this...
Collaborations, news, etc. etc. -- AIM's vague pointing towards the possibility of cash somewhere in the future
TT complete YES!!! -- a real product to sell
US FDA confirmation -- enhanced markets to sell in
Initial orders -- *REAL CASH*
Indication of future orders - highly probable indication of future cash
After living on the hope .... real cash is about to flow.
That is a fundamentally different world to what the SP has been bouncing about on.

Exactly, pitfalls ... and I expect a lot of people feel like they've been in a pit too long and are looking to get out at the first decent opportunity. The underlying message in my post was; this might not just be a spike coming on which to exit, it could be the start of sustained growth.... don't be too hasty to exit in fear and relief, the coming jump isn't like the others before it - it's not just a news spike, it's the start of cash flow. (hopefully)
Looks like you're both replying to me from another thread. .... Copied below for neatness:
Not sure if you mean 'pump' implying dump, but after approximately a year of existing on little more than news indicating hope of future business coming down the line.....we're nearly there; the radical change from hope to hard reality and actually spinning up Bertha* and making new real things for real money again. This shouldn't be a pump (and dump/spike) but a major step up to a new valuation for a beaten down business powering up stagnant capital assets and getting productive... for hard cash in turnover and profits.??I'm not holding my breath on any particular day, or week, but I'm optimistic that when Vatic lands, they're not just going to be small fry. I don't think they've launched a US arm just to f-around stocking a webstore to peddle 5-packs. In a (strictly business sense) we're lucky Covid has been extended globally and KnowNow is specifically targeted at the current and coming Covid phase (living with Covid).

While I'd take an MoU very lightly, IF the TT passes, and IF Vatic proves that they can ACTUALLY SELL stuff by placing decent sized pre-orders, I'd take that as a sign that there's some real sustained value here. ??Vatic isn't a Covid company, they've adapted their first product to the current environment (Covid pandemic, slowly yes, but they're seemingly nearly there, and still relevant) but they seem to be a wannabe trans-Atlantic modern healthcare company getting tech-company style funding, whose entire future portfolio appears to be high-volume evergreen chronic endemic health tests (rather than shorter relevance epidemic, or niches diseases) ...ALL in a LFT format. ??I think we're about to see a) if this tech partnership works b) if Vatic is the real deal (they don't have to be lightening out of the gate, that's unreasonable, but I'm looking for something promising -- and frankly any decent sales puts them ahead of their peers). IF a and b look good , then there's an argument for real long-term growth and value here.??My thesis: ABDX has existed on words of hope for a long time. We might be about to get validation of them in hard cash AND at the same time, validation for new hope on a range of cash-cow products. This could be the entry step up on a staircase to long-term value.
@rxdav
Humbly we set forth, pulling at the oars, we row from the harbour with the wisdom of our fathers, watchful of the tides, reading the weather, navigation by the stars. From nowhere Dazza and his speedboat mates blast by, their flotilla rocking us wildly. We grip the sides as their howls recede into the mist and slowly, all is calm again. We bail water, watch the sky for signs. The honk of a liner erupts. We’re pulled into its wake. We cannot see its name. We do not know its destination. We strain against the oars to no avail. The water is too cold to swim, land is not in sight. Wherever it is bound, so are we. A new master has taken us.
In the port, blips on his screen, steel guns track silently, the warship watches with indifference.
