I am not expecting any revelations Soup but just wanting them to make the positive case to potential new investors - which is what proactive interviews are all about. The only way our share price moves upwards is by new investors committing - and given the Lanstead structure we desperately need a higher share price to finance us to phase 1.

Well I see two big reasons why a video interview is needed.

1. Existing long long suffering shareholders are owed an explanation as to what is going on in 'their' company - given the catastrophic events that have befallen the company in the last 2 years (see share price graph). Even the worthless mercenaries who have 'run' (ie into the ground) the company in the last two years have accepted the elementary requirement that you need to inform the shareholders of the latest plan (even as they desperately sent their CVs to anybody & everybody).

2. We are not aiming to get institutions, but just once again put our case in front of PIs, who realistically are the only investors likely to take a punt on a company with a circa £4m market cap. New investors need to be motivated to invest in a company, & thats not by RNS's read primarily by existing investors, but by putting the case to a wider audience via a corporate insider having the 'courage' to stand up & be counted in an interview.

I am trying to be optimistic as an LTH but I have to say I find it depressing the begrudging way our new 'management' go about things. Waiting to do the elementary minimum needed - put in place a basic skeleton board structure took some 9 weeks - with zero explanation in the interim. And now they seemingly can't be fagged to do a simple 15 minute explanatory interview.

Last one I can track down is Ridell on 14 December after the Lanstead deal. Given the changes since, I hope someone from the new structure will set out how its going to work, their expectations for the ERS Congress & how/when we intensify our search for phase 1 licensing deals. (Ridell said in Dec the Lanstead deal would enable us to become phase 1 ready)

Well it would be quite a % price move to get north of 4p by end Sept, but if there was an announcement of an 'approach' we might get there. As Dan & Jo would have to cough up 4p per share, that would mean a financial inflow to the company of around £2.95m in October, which would sort out any financial concerns going forward.

The latest annual report confirms that two of the three founders still have unexpired options on 73.7m shares exercisable between 4-10p (most @ 4p), that expire on 16 October 2022. It seems unlikely the share price will reach those levels before that date (just over 10 weeks away) and they will likely expire. This means that the substantial dilution of over 10% on our existing share capital is unlikely to happen.

This partly offsets the dilution we will have suffered from the Lanstead share placing mechanism which comprised an issue of 110m shares plus 7.7m bonus to Lanstead. Our low share price has had a negative impact on the funds we receive from Lanstead, but it has also removed the potential dilution from the option exercise. If you deduct one from the other Lanstead then 'costs' us an additional 44m shares. If they can get the share price above 4p by 16 October I would certainly not begrudge Dan or Jo their additional shares should they decide to exercise.

Its over a year old, but the Align Research report sets out a clear positive case for the deal & an interesting price target of 11.22p. The investment case has only grown stronger with the Ukraine war & its impact on the supply & price of potash.

I think we can safely say we have seen the bottom. Just over 5 weeks till the ERS Congress in Barcelona when out two NXP002 papers clearly put us on the international map.

No doubt this has been raised before, but its a useful reminder in the annual results:
"NXP002, as a potential treatment for IPF, is a likely candidate for Orphan Drug Designation which could provide additional product protection against potential competitors."

Exactly what we needed Soup, the right people in the right publicly announced roles. Minimal additional cost as both were already on the company books & we have the public structure needed to reassure investors and just as crucially potential JV partners. Hopefully Dan will do one or more interviews & put some positivity back in the NFX story as it moves to final fruition.

Share price going to be interesting next few days as those on the sidelines can now get in before the September rally on the Congress expectations.

This is the prefect announcement - Dan back as Executive Director & Julian Gilbert as non-executive Chairman. The perfect combination we need in the run up to the September Congress, more test results for 002 & 004 & bringing licensing deals for 002 & 004 to fruition.

Last time Dan was on the Board we were over 6p, the share price is surely going to rocket in the lead up to the critical September Congress.

You are probably right Soup, like others I hope the possible delay in the results is due to them sorting out the BOD situation. Whether they do that using either existing resources or 1/2 new ones, I don't mind provided we get a proper structure & an explanation.

Not much sign of it FX, the usual culprits on twitter have been replaced by more 'chartist' types & the most persistent nuisance poster here has been a de-ramper. In a contrarian way I am actually hoping this is real buying due to the bombed out share price, the IP essentially in for nothing & we are in a new quarter where we have a major conference & the beginning of test results. I know as an NFX LTH its very difficult to be optimistic but.......

We seems to have risen some 30% from low .30s to upper .40s without any real ramping, which is actually encouraging.
