Urban,
Deferred revenue is when a company receives payment from a customer before the product or service has been delivered; however, the payment is not yet counted as revenue. Deferred revenue, which is also referred to as unearned revenue, is listed as a liability on the balance sheet.
The cash will be recognised as an asset on the balance sheet. It can be used.

Beef:
"A dead cat bounce is a temporary recovery from a prolonged decline or a bear market that is followed by the continuation of the downtrend. A dead cat bounce is a small, short-lived recovery in the price of a declining security, such as a stock. Frequently, downtrends are interrupted by brief periods of recovery — or small rallies — where prices temporarily rise. The name "dead cat bounce" is based on the notion that even a dead cat will bounce if it falls far enough and fast enough."

The conversation I saw was: Investor at Privatecomments on the link: "Ken, well done to you Nick and the rest of the team. I can only imagine the years of work behind the scenes that would go into such a huge win. Two out of three ain't bad, but I reckon you will get all three and many more around the world. Lots for you and the team to be very proud of. " Ken's reply: "Thank you very much to you and other shareholders for the generous, and patient, support over lots of those years!"
