What's with the 16% spread? Is this likely to tighten up? It feels off to be buying in at 2.9

Encouraging enough to have another nibble for my ISA.

I have a fairly long time-line but I like the pace and direction of change here.

Thanks Tbow - I am not going to pretend I understand enough of the legalese just yet to really dig into the meaning of it all. In a nutshell, based on what others have written here, it seems they are going to be issuing a bunch more shares which are priced very low (is that to do with the SP at the time of the arrangement, rather than current SP?) to pay back money they were lent a couple of years ago, but due to the rise in SP, those who lent the money back then are now about to make a bloody killing, and we are all about to be diluted significantly, which was always on the cards.

Does the fact the SP is much higher now work in our favour, or against us, or make little difference?

My shares are held with Charles Stanley Direct - do I just keep an eye out for notifications?

Forgive the ignorance of the noob, but how do we cast our votes? Do we have to attend in person, or will there be some sort of postal ballot? Never been involved in something like this before.

Just had this note from my Provider:

At the General Meeting held on November 3rd, the proposed changes to the AstraZeneca share structure was approved, this is to implement a harmonised listing structure involving a direct listing of AstraZeneca shares on the NYSE.

Shareholders who hold AstraZeneca shares on the London Stock Exchange will receive AstraZeneca DI shares on a one for one basis. This conversion will happen automatically, and no action is required from shareholders. The change is expected to take place on or around the 2nd of February 2026.

Key takeaway is "no action required from shareholders" but is this likely to affect anything else long term? I note the SP dipped a chunk today - might they be related?

Mind you, an application is only an application - they might be hedging their bets. Are there similar applications going on in Germany, one wonders...

Often wondered why they can't build an electrolysis plant near wind farms, solar farms etc, so instead of paying them to shut off during excess generation periods, they can just divert extra juice to making hydrogen (or anything else that requires electrolysis)

I'm sure there must be reasons - maybe it's not economically viable to have the kit sitting there not running during low-power periods or something?

Not heard that since I was in 3rd year (yr 9 these days!)

That'd make me 55-ish. That counts as early retirement, I think. I'd take £30 quite happily from my investments at an average of around a fiver a share all in.

Wish I'd sold the house and bought 70p shares with the lot when I first considered RR. I'd be retiring already!

The wisdom of hindsight is especially apparent in investing - sigh

That's exactly what I did with RR when it quadrupled. I now have a bunch of free shares still doing nicely, plus a new car which I sometimes refer as "The Rolls" (it's not a Rolls!).

I like the feeling of not being able to lose from it now, despite the lost upside on the shares I cashed in.

It's getting like the AIM boards, I do see. One of the reasons I stay here is the (typically) higher quality of discourse - come on ladies and gents, we can be better than this. Share your humanity and show more respect for one another. If you can't, there's always the green paint...

Q2 was more open, for anyone here who has been into mining for a long old while - can this sort of prospect still tank, and if you've seen it do so, what were the main factors and are they in any way foreseeable, or have they tended to be totally out of nowhere, e.g. COVID, or a random sociopath president declaring war on the edge of Europe etc?

EEE has swollen to a third of my ISA currently, so I am looking for devil's advocates (no, not the usual ones who already all green) who can give examples of times it hasn't gone according to plan. Last time I got stung badly was buying AA shares and watching them collapse over a few months to 20% of their original value

Thanks for your posts. Always informative and I've done plenty of my own research looking this company up, however I am new to mining stocks. Everything looks amazing, so I have 2 noob questions really:

1. It looks so good, but it doesn't seem to have caught the eyes of major investors despite being positioned to join the AIM 100 now (unless I am mistaken - last time I looked it was around 111m to get on the list)

2. Have you (or anyone reading this) seen a mining company go from so much good news and such a rarely seen mineral deposit, to then tank and vanish?
