1.) I didn't invest in gold, I invested in graphite. That is the reason that I will ultimately divest. I've been offloading since just before the pivot confirmation in RNS and am just about done. 2.) The only winners here are as poster below notes the shorters. It's not a good deal to be raising money at 1.5p share however that was raised and the collapse of the £8m BSM deal is I believe a major mistake 3.) I don't question the integrity of Brett and Shishir. I think they're both highly capable and ultimately have had shareholder interests at heart. 4.) That said I think they have made mistakes, for the right reasons. 5.) What Brett has also done is gone out of his way to not give in to the shorters who make money screwing the share price down in order to facilitate placings that offer the quickest ROI for the later-stage investors (last in first out). He tried the Bass initial deal, which morphed into the asset sale. But we NEVER got credit on the SP. 6.) I also believe the previous BODs share a lot of blame in the demise of the graphite business. Engineering, workforce, mine planning were all shall we say sub-optimal IMO. But I guessed as much 18 months ago. My mistake was believing in the asset and the team. Lohorano *is* good, as confirmed by 2 lots of DD by BSM, one of those duedil exercises was done by independent consultant at insistence of a major funding partner so I truly believe we had the right asset and I genuinely believe Shishir POddar was the right man to make that work and he will consequently make JV mine work to prove the shorters wrong 7.) I genuinely believe persistent negative posters have a hidden agenda. Most people on investment forums have their money where their mouth is and I believe the vast majority of negs are shorters. The rest are grudge-bearers for earlier losses (highly immoral IMO to bring a company down for their own bad investment decisions) with a very tiny minority being activists and/or concerned citizens. Balance of probability the number of deramps we've had on here since Brett took over that they were mouth pieces for shorters 8.) Despite disinvesting I genuinely believe Brett will still turn this around. They have as share in the JV mine which will return funds after TRM is RTOd, as well as cash in hand for the RTO here. I've lost a lot of money here because I averaged down so increased my exposure. Despite trading I'm still taking a considerable hit. Despite this I genuinely wish all LTHs and the BOD good luck going forwards. I might also be back long when I know more about where this is heading.

So what's your interest here? You're clearly not long and clearly researching it therefore you are short? I don't question the new CEOs integrity and I believe shorters killed the chance of a third lease of life under Brett and Shishr who knew what they were doing. You can kid yourself all you like thinking a massive undeclared abusive short position is justified because the BOD failed but the third BOD here only failed due to lack of capital and they didn't get the capital due to the market abuse and negative posters who at one stage spread outright mistruths about the state of the asset so save your preaching

That shorters come here posting and other BBs to destroy sentiment. Personally I'm disappointed by the strategy change but it's a personal opinion based on why I'm investing here. Invest in the sector - I'm investing in graphite and technology for EVs. But those who talked this down are ultimately responsible for its demise because last year if we'd raised the funds off our own listing we would have a working profitable mine by now, I'm in no doubt and I hold certain posters on here personally resposnible for their calculated "destroy all sentiment" plan responsible for the failed turnaround of Lohorano under BB as CEO.

It said it in an RNS. And I firmly believe we would meet our tranche targets - and I'm just a bit lost as to why we're going down this Gold pivot because we could have used this cash to part fund the JV mine, get it back up and running and that could have been our asset. Rollthedice - you must think I was born yesterday.

You're one of the shorters who got us in this mess? No need to come here with "I told you so" because if you hadn't stomped on this with massive anticipatory shorting you would have given the BOD a chance to raise their own money off our own listing and the mine would still be ours so roll back under that rock

I'm surprised at the ease of which this came through and the casual mention that this was BSM idea, but I also see that BSM share price had a target of double its current price and was held back by what correctly turned out to be STGR selling (guys on hotcopper thought it might be). But price is low - not sure what's going on behind the scenes, I can't believe BB is part of a long term conspiracy that's had so many twists and turns just to steal a cash shell with not enough cash for a decent RTO so far. There are far easier ways to con shareholders - like buying crap assets for a song then reselling from a director's shell company to shareholders for massive mark up (I won't mention name of delisted company that did this as BOD are getting lawyered up denying it). I'm just not sure whether the low cash price is worth the gain and if the shorts are MM running ultra bearish algorithms they won't close up on cash into a cash shell because that money isn't earning until the RTO completes, so the motives might be misguided. I'm just surprised they've gone down this route rather than play for Tranche 2 at a much discounted price by selling Tranche 1 at just the right time to get Tranche 2 cheap. Because that's what I would have done... Get revenge on Bass for screwing us over with the original deal...

Last rumour I heard is that they were going to start fund raising for next phase on expansion mine (Mahefadok) I'm starting to lose track of things but I *think* they were only funded to 6k tpa which was studies, scoping, drilling/mine planning and finalising the concentrator design (which according to STGR RNss was something we did last year but that's another story)... If this plays out well we might get Tranche 2 on a dip, but I have heard nothing to support this - just a wild hope of mine that we might get some luck. One of the few bits of luck we had on this share is the GBP:AUD swinging massively in our favour for the sale!

Also the "real" spread is quite wide, 5.78/6.125p indicating there is a lack of confidence and/or liquidity in the market. The MM won't take huge amounts in one go - only 150k shares - which is better than the pitiful sell limits of the last few months but still not huge. Certainly not indicative of any MM currently thinking of shifting to a longer stance on APC so will take a while for confidence to recover and MM to follow suit. Don't blame you re L2 it's IMO largely a charade on SEAQ stock like APC but useful at times like this to get an inkling for what is going on.

You've got premium?! Currently Cantor, Shore Cap and Singer. Which debunks my theory a couple of weeks ago about Cantor having shares but they could just be sitting with the pack to keep their powder dry, wouldn't make any difference to the spread where they sat. All 6 MM have a 1p spread so there's no clue as to any of them having more confidence, shares or liquidity than any of the others.

Also three deramps in a row on ADVFN - reminded me why I try and avoid the place and I didn't manage to remain calm and restrained in my response... Looking at L2 we got 3 MM stomping on the Ask at 6p - looking very bearish. Yet 6.0999p buyer was sent to NT for a measly 20k worth of shares. Just like this morning I couldn't buy at 5.5p and after a short while I couldn't get a quote at 5.75p. Now I can't get a quote for any reasonable amount of shares at 6p yet people paying over ask for shares. 3 derampers. 3 MM stomping on Ask. It's all looking very much like we're driving with the handbrake applied.

There's still a few tricks they could play. Last 2 trades were probably sells (close to the L2 ask) and it's still hard to get a quote to buy quantity within the spread. Next trick might be to hike the price but they throw a series of sells to get some red on the board. Then as you say the large trades (and obligatory string of reversals showing they were being worked and needed updating to confirm) signalling the manipulators are done and the share is finally free to put on some gains. Good solid results (in the context of APC's troubled year) and the directors moving on I only see as continuation of house clearing. H1 results will be confirmation but I expect anticipatory market to rise in advance. The game is now RHs to throw away or grab by the balls IMO

Sahid- someone had to pay above ask for 100k and still the mm continue their charade on the book so time to start believing the conspiracy IMO! Also look at what the MM picked up and at what price. They have absolutely zero to sell at 5.5p at profit so no surprises the 5.5p price was a disingenuous ask price with no real volumes available.

Jump or pushed? SHs still have some power and also maybe having a metrics-driven streamlined business is just too grey and boring for certain characters? I can't see any problem with weeding out the rest of the gang presiding over what ultimately cost SHs millions in dilution at a crap SP and saw such a massive write-down today. I'm not 100% comfortable that the man from GC survived but needs must the company needed continuity of leadership and he seems to have done what was needed.

There are other explanations other than shorting. There could be a background seller going through- but then I doubt the ask would be so springy and I couldn't get a quote to buy any at 5.5p. It could just be MM-by-numbers. Doubt these results got more than a skim through and an automated rating based on revenue down and operations being axed. So maybe they just took a minimum risk and gapped down see what happens. Size of market here is so tiny doubt they put much effort in. But on cpx once they gapped down on product launch at a time the chart showed mm were pricing for a placing (instead the company got a million in customer up front fees) so I'm sure gaps like this *can* be mm games too when caught short

Come on that is a fecking joke. These headline numbers were known 2 weeks ago. Someone must be seriously short here as these results in the context of APC's recent painful journey are really good news IMO.

Well the debt now seems under control, the buy of that being invoice financing - at 17.9m a year revenue 2.9m is under 2 months and attributable to payment lag. And they had 444k cash 31st August, improved creditor position (Theo: did you note that?) and the cash position was prior to Water disposal. Unqualified sign off by auditors - so unless I missed a major clanger on first skim read all systems go for New APC going forwards?

My god dare we hope that even the seller has stopped selling, too?! Still amazed that so few are venturing ahead of results tomorrow, given the headlines have already been announced. Not sure whether results will bring much interest, whether potential buyers want to check the fine details for any smouldering ashes, and if so whether they'll find any... But at £7mil mcap for £17.9m turnover and sneaking back into profitability, with (hopefully) the corner turned it's got to be cheap right now...

Many thanks for that insight. I asked a month or so ago if anyone knew of staff options or similar vesting as the trade volumes going through didn't fit any pattern I'd seen before bar a spree once when employee options were vesting and they were bagging the cash. If (and we don't know for sure) the recent sell-off was related to GC staff and investor shares that makes a lot of sense.
