Hate to say this as I am a huge fan, but look at this set of results from the board. We thought he was our last chance at stopping the company going to the ground, these results may have just changed my vote.

‘Join partnership with the retailers. People increasingly want to buy goods on credit but a lot of people fail the credit check for various reasons. But surely there could be a huge market for an Amigo partnership where Amigo provides guarantor credit for these goods on behalf of the retailers?!’

Let’s put this all in perspective though, the claim companies are pouncing in this area so it’s no surprise that claim numbers are rocketing. People are seeing free money when a lot of them were initially either very happy with the provision of the loan or have lied on their applications to get the loan. Expect payout rate to drop dramatically, claimants are far more speculative than 12 months ago.

I feel they have to do something like this to have a real chance at winning the vote.

Massive announcement in my eyes. Clearly looking at the long term future of the business, with the ultimate threat of the SH vote when he falls below 10%. He even mentions his conversations with PIs which are so true, he’s thought about us a lot over the past few months. Personally I think this offer should be accepted, and given the careful construction I think he would win any SH vote.

Yes he’s rich but the vast majority of this net worth was Amigo back when the share price was 200p and he owned 70%.
