That was a response to a massive drop in the SP, they are allowed and obliged to update the market over a certain % SP movement, in this case, it was unfounded rumours and panic that they quelled.
Anything over 35% in a day (I believe) which hasn't had an RNS, the BOD are required to announce something.
Hi Onassis,
Unless I'm reading something wrong, your list of shareholders equates to this:
2,759,000,000 total shares in issue (ignoring for now the deferred shares)
578,595,458 20.97%
478,872,863 17.36%
465,647,496 16.88%
344,163,447 12.47%
307,250,000 11.14%
148,962,035 5.40%
146,935,020 5.33%
118,445,867 4.29%
89,569,517 3.25%
2,678,441,703 97.08% Total shares in deep pockets
Which means less than 3% in free float (ie our) pockets? In which case how the hell is the ups and downs of 3% of the company move the SP so much and create a massive daily MCAP movement?
Or am I just naive to the ways of the stock market? (Admittedly, I am but here's hoping EUA is the next 'One that didn't get away!'... :)
I was lucky I got cold feet and sold 2/3 of my holding at BPC before the RNS which then got put in here, then sold the rest after the duster announcement, again to put here. Avg mid 26 now, happy to hold and wait.
