RE: MAY on her way OUT??16 Jan 2019 00:39
Midway,
Agree,' Which law states we have to leave” We signed up to article fifty by law we leave on 29/3/18 with or without a deal'
That is the legal default. If May spins this out till the 29th, and she will, a second vote, etc no chance IMO of Corbyn winning his motion of 'No Confidence' as they don't have a majority! the DUP will vote with the government as will the Tory Rebels, so it's back to square one.
Next stage IMHO, is she will fly back to Brusssels and try and gain some further concessions on the Backstop, ie legal enforceable concessions. In my opinion the EU will capitulate at the eleventh hour as they are scared to death of us leaving. Italy is in almost recession as is German industry, it's all out there. We are in a very strong position to get a deal that is beneficial to both parties.
This is not yet over by a long chalk!
