I agree, at the moment they are the only major/invested /interested partie in SM's.

I also think that they will act if required to protect their investment.

What we the SH's are now faced with is this, can we retain a significant percentage of the company?

I sincerely hope that CF in attempts at raising finance to remove the high risk shafts completion part of the project, does indeeed execute future finance in a piecemeal fashion, simply because the sooner you have removed the greatest risk the sooner standard bank debt will become available and so rid us of further dilution.

One thought that has crossed my mind in moving forward from where we are at present should funding not arrive in time is this.

Protection of the rights of the already agreed TORPS and current existing shareholders.

How can we as group of shareholders protect and take ownership of the TORP agreements (Yes we own them as of now but......in the event of being under the threat of 'Administration' and then a new owner walking off with those agreements for a song that card has then been removed, ie, can we take control of them in advance of such a scenario?)

Just thinking abstractly , maybe I am way off the mark here, and it is a totally non sensical thought, not sure, but shareholders need to have something, ie a bargaining chip, in order to be able to prevent some other company from taking those agreed TORP contracts away from us shareholders for next to nothing.

How do we ensure that from not happening?

At the end of the day, the 13.50m tons of already agreed Torps are worth a lot of money, and the ownwership of such in the scenario of a Admin situation might well be a powerful bargaining chip?

My point was simply this, 3 weeks ago we get a target price of 95p from Canaccord Genuity in the FT, now we have Barclays 'reduced ' target price to 55p from 75p.

What has changed within that time frame?, absolutely nothing that I am aware of that warrants a 55p target, (other than a price drop) why not higher nearer say to Canaccord Genuity's ?.

Hence my sceptical comment about taking these targets with a large pinch of sodium chloride. :O)

All in all, one should take their target prices with a massive dose of salt, unless backed up by valid arguments simply because these institutions may well probably be plying their trading activities in the absence of real news to get PI's to either sell or buy etc.

Not long ago we had 95p as a target, what has changed in 3 weeks to revise it down? all I know is that we are due another lifting soon as reported on this BB, so is progressing as guided.

Canaccord Genuity upgraded Hurricane Energy from “speculative buy” to “buy” with a 95p target price in response to recent first-half results from the North Sea oil explorer. An operational update on Hurricane’s Lancaster prospect in the West of Shetland improved confidence both in the reservoir quality and the project work, it said.

“The Lancaster early production system has been on stream for only three months or so, and unsurprisingly it has not all been straightforward operationally. That seems likely to continue through the full commissioning process and the expansion programme ahead.

Yet underlying that the company’s confidence in the Lancaster EPS is strengthening and we think that is increasingly justified in terms of both the subsurface and facilities.

“There is still plenty of data to be gathered to embed the sense of reducing risk, and with another update expected before the year end 2019 and a capital markets day in the first quarter of 2020 there will be plenty of information to assess. We note that the current market capitalisation discounts little more than a risked view of the planned expanded Lancaster EPS, largely ignoring the undeveloped resource potential.”
