No, I was with WG , maintenance contract for MM and SF Gas plants ,office based, for nearly 4 years, really enjoyed my time there though, good craic as they say, spent some time in the 'Regent Centre' overlooking harbour, not as exciting as being on a Rig :O)

Ak, it might well seem lonely as you say, but equally it may earn you more money in the end than Poker and the hassle of travelling 160 miles, not sure I could do that mileage anymore at my age of 65.

When I was working in Aberdeen and on the odd occassion used to fly in the main, driving up from Manchester was a complete and utter nightmare in the winter, could hardly see the road in the dark on the A90 on some stretches, was a very dangerous road imo.

Just think reading your life experiences to date, you have certainly had a very interesting life that many could only dream of :O)

From what I can discern and I am no expert, there are options available to comply with Sulphur 2020 , such as Scrubbers , and actions taken by Refineries etc.

What I as yourself cannot find out, is what is the Sulphur content of HUR oil from Lancaster, maybe in a CPR somewhere?

Overall, I am not too worried at all by this as there are already corrective solutions available etc, scrubbers, mixing of low with high Sulpur content etc.

I also think that a discount will perhaps be applied by refineries on the basis of Sulphur content maybe? just my initial thoughts.

My thoughts are in total agreement with yours, the Shafts are the key to our salvation without a doubt imo.

Let's just hope that SM can persuade a Shaft partner, ie Leashold partner if you like, whom would fund completion of shafts for an attractive rent over the life of the mine. This would remove a very large percentage of risk and free up more conventional forms of finance to complete the mine.

It is I think the only positive way forward that would protect shareholders to a greater degree than simply allowing a takeover or private equity solution.
