Why are they waiting to drill until h2 2018? Simply because this activity is best carried out in the summer months due to weather conditions.

Hi Rocklawn. I've just read Jimmy 's very latest post on iii. I agree that the man knows what he is talking about and his economic assessment on future potential valuation of LOGP is like music to my ears. I am holding fast to my shares in both PVR and LOGP. In fact I did a.modest top up on both last week. I would love to buy another 500,000 shares in Lansdowne at the current price but I can't afford it this side of Christmas. Just keeping my fingers crossed that Tony can pull a decent deal off on this and give us an early Christmas present. I notice a decent buy this morning on LOGP.....Hopefully this represents the beginning of fresh interest here.

Interesting post Bronx. I can see Jimmy 's logic nevertheless. If the new seismic is now confirming that Barry is a truly viable field....then this opens up a clear path to commercialisation. I believe this raises the possibility of a rerating for LOGP shares. I guess that there are a number of unknowns here. Will it be a farm out or a go it alone appraisal? I'm mainly invested in Logp, so I'm hoping that they can do a partial farm out and a small equity raise in order to hold on to 15% of Barry. Who knows....the size of the field may even exceed estimates to date? If only dear Tony could actually close a deal rather than just talk about it. We live in hope!

Yes...this is good news as the man is not a bulls hitter or a ramper/deramper. Roll on a 2018 drill.

I see that yesterday's wee RNS was reported in the independent.

Allegedly mfdevco and their partners will develop the field bearing all the upfront costs between them with the payback deferred until production starts to flow. Haven't a clue how much it will cost or why not done before...it is not a very large field so presumably big oil ain't interested.

But what the hell does it all mean? What is the path forward here for Helvick and Dunmore?

Lack of buyers about today so far. Thought the rns might drum up a bit more interest! Must check the Irish papers to see if it's reported.
