Depending on who the partner is and amount involved I’d like to think it goes a lot higher than that.

But I don’t think it’s as black and white as that, plenty other factors could come into play such as multiple partners or variations in agreements.

We could have partners for the HY5 systems but also someone else who wants their whole organisation run using the cracker technology such as British Gas (bad example I know) Grangemouth or and oil company.

And plenty other examples were given at the IM the other day.

So I’m quietly optimistic that once we get one bit of news we could get several more.

It may be 2026 that was stated for the cracking technology to be on site but these things take months to get through planning etc so multiple orders throughout the rest of this year would bring in short term revenue with next year being the year they all take off.

Reading between the lines, and we don’t need to be Sherlock Holmes, the future is very promising in my opinion and I’ve seen many highs and lows throughout the years but this really feels like it’s about to happen for real.

So apart from the few directors shares (or associates of) bought yesterday, the rest will all be within the 30 day period directors can buy shares prior to insider trading rules being breached.

Interesting perhaps?

Maybe more more in hope than expectation but wouldn’t it be nice to get a big trading partner announcement on the day or just before the AGM.

That’s what I was thinking!

Another one I’m keeping an eye on is Grangemouth, it’s Scotland’s only petrol refinery and is about to close down but Mad Ed has promised to regenerate it into a green hub with hydrogen already mentioned.

Not based on anything but joining some dots but certainly might be worth a watch

There’s one of the slides from the presentation the other day (the one showing round pictures alongside what can be done) and one of them says steel and shows steel being poured in the image.

I was thinking when I saw it at the time that British steel could be a potential candidate for us but I’m not so sure now after last nights announcement, although negotiations are still ongoing but it doesn’t look very promising

I hope British steel wasn’t the massive news we’ve been waiting for because the Chinese owners have just turned down a £500m uk government aid offer to electrify it.

That makes sense

Can I just throw something into the discussion.

John Wilson clearly stated at the investors meeting the other day that the company is at advanced discussions on what I took to be a large project with potential partners.

My point being that if we have already been told that talks are at an advanced stage and something is announced within the director buy 30 day period it could be argued that the information was already public knowledge.

I realise this may be stretching it a bit but surely it’s a valid argument

Maybe Rachael will come out at 12:30 today and announce that she took down the picture in her office of Margaret Thatcher and replaced it with a life size picture of John Wilson in his Speedos, advise us of her undying love for John and all things AFC/Hyamtec and declare she is investing tax payers money on a £50 million grant to support AFC going forward.

Ok maybe I’m being a bit optimistic

Hopefully we get news soon of a parter with deep pockets then at least a degree of pressure will be off if we can get some sort of reasonable rise in the share price

I totally agree with everything you’ve said in your last two posts CN but I just wish we could get from what happened yesterday and where we are today to that big announcement we are all waiting for with baited breath. At least I know I am.

Whatever is causing this situation at the moment and whether it’s just a passing headache or not, it’s not a comfortable watch right now that’s for sure.

How long after director buys can a company release good, price sensitive news with falling in to the insider trading net? I can’t remember.

Asking because all the hints from the investors meet interview points at something big brewing ie cracker partners or major contract announcement.

However, with the shares bought and RNS’s the next day, I assume the news will not arrive until the time period has lapsed.

I think it’s around 4-6 weeks so potentially not unreasonable to pencil in the chance of a major announcement just prior to the AGM.

Just thinking out loud.

Things really feel like they are starting to move at pace now.

John Wilson really has hit the ground running and hopefully some big news in the coming months
