Drivel or not something is cooking here.

The volumes and size of the trades are exceptional and not without reason. The massive last one at 13.23 is of real significance.

Looking back over last two days it’s always clear in hindsight but never in the heat of the moment. Feverish rumours doing the rounds and many including me sucked into the excitement and hope. This morning especially cynical as after the steep drop so many thought they’d caught the bounce only for an even sharper drop. Classic poker playing and most short termers fleeced again. I would just say to the newbies sitting on losses you really should not sell now. !!!

I and many others fell for the hype. What a mess I made of three chunky buys in the 13s and high 12s. So like many others I sit on a very overweight position and tough it out!

So on the list of global gold miners by market cap, GGP is currently 39th largest. Newmont is top of the list with £41bn

Think you are right. It always looks strange to see chunky sells at this price but when GGP adds 10-20% daily it’s understandable. I’m fortunate to be sticking with both!

Also expect a pull back Friday as sales from no ISA sccounts

What is certain is that we are now into a very turbulent period of spikes and pullbacks. I expect 12.5 to 14 Monday so drip feeding to buy more is perhaps a sensible approach.

Thanks for the interesting discussion on GGP holdings and risk / reward probabilities. I’m going to add substantially on Monday so a pull back will be welcome. Might get 12.5 if lucky. GLA.

Quite agree.

My holdings GGP, RUA (high hopes on this) PHNX (lovely cash generator) AMZN, PYPL and global funds.

This age old conundrum is one I have wrestled with for 30 years. GGP is about 20% of my portfolio. Some would say that’s foolhardy, others “what have you got 80% not invested in GGP”

Interested to hear how others resolved the conundrum!

Pressure building on 12p which whilst only of psychological importance will usher a surge through it when it breaches.
