The Noront analogy that the Lord peddles on a regular basis is at best a very poor one. (Personally I think it’s dangerously misleading). Plus wyloo wont be coming after Solgold. Nor will Rinehart. They are both moving in other directions.
BHP vs Jiangxi is possible, and probably our best bet.
dbw. haha. no quady gets some strange credit in my world for sheer bl00dy mindedness. still playing king **** with the production view. it’s quite amusing nowadays.
Possibly most stupid post of the year…..
Merry Christmas everyone. The sp is frustrating for some, logical for others. I am sure that in a years time it will be much higher, based on a confluence of positive events. 2024 is Ggps year.
IMO!
Merry Christmas to one and all - and that does include Q, RK and Fort….
Is it too early to ask when the next Mre is due? ;-)
I think the Colonel has just got his marching orders……
Smack on what I expected with a few juicy bones thrown in. Be surprised if this moves the sp by a penny today, but I have been surprised before……
Excellent result for Scott. Now he can move forward with his plan to sell the asset/business.
Or as Quady would say, raise $5bn and build a mine with zero staff or capability, with production in about 7 years time.
I hear that the Chinese have listened to the Lord Braggart and are hoovering up stock.
Fort, is a colonel in the BHP army…….
Colonel, you say that Scott picked up a business that was in fine shape.
I would say that the business was in a mess, not fine shape. A disorderly board, unclear strategy, burning through cash on irrelevant salaries and activities not normally associated with companies in the mining/exploring industry. Major shareholders at loggerheads with the board. Senior directors leaving the company.
Scott had a lot of sorting out to do, of this company in ‘fine shape’.
If BHP ever suggest that they have a good working relationship with Solgold, we the shareholders, are screwed. They will never be on our side as our interests are diametrically opposed. Anything we do, in the interests of the company, they will oppose.
I might be inclined to do whatever upsets them the most......
That is indeed very sad Bamps. Everyone who has met him would agree that Geoffrey was a true gent. Kind and gentle yet firm with his beliefs. I had the pleasure of meeting him a few times, first time at the inaugural Stroud meet up. My thoughts are with his wife Jennifer at this distressing time.
Pooroldman. Live up to your name and sell fgs.
Agree Add, but some seem to be very emotional about these votes and are not thinking straight. They clearly dont realise that the alternative is far worse than the current management.
If you decide to vote out the board you should sell Solgold and buy BHP shares.
The colonel's kamikaze strategy will probably get a bid at 15p. TINA than to support all of the board and all of the resolutions. I will even support NM although I find him fairly repulsive.
SVE distribution probably in Jan.
Bamps, you have just explained why you should be keen on AGMs! Subliminal messages are really important.
I think you should all listen to what Starbright says on the GDXJ, as he is correct and does know what he is talking about. Its a fairly complex situation for those not in the industry but as I used to trade index arbitrage some years ago, i do know that he knows.
