agree, the ramping bring some credibility and then the deramping is always much stronger...
and back to my other post, the only reason to post on a board like this if you don't hold stocks is that you are short !
else what does one care ...
I hold, until it's 0 or 10 (my price) whichever it is
north coater said 2 times he was out:
VLSI will be back13 Jun '18
I am out.... something ain't right. Gla
VLSUnremarkable.1 Jul '18
I can't put my finger on it but nothing seems to lift the sp. I'm out but I am stumped at the sp. no appetite for renewables. Gla
but he is still very much writting on this board deramping VLS, so not really out (2 times!).. Probably shorting the stock now !
That would make sens with his morning post (for those who missed it: he wrote VLS was going bust and its tech would be then reused in a new US based company...)
In the mean time since my first post, I have opened an account at spreadex and etx capital but TMO is not shortable there as well. It is also not shortable directly with IB (interractive bookers) which is often quite good (but still less choice thant spreadex).
(I have given up looking how to short it...My initial willing to short it was based on an article at *************, with mostly the same conclusions as your artcile !)
Happens all the time.
Happened to me on FFI today, happened before, and you'll see almost everyday people complaining about that...
I don't know if it's aimed to be a manipulation or missing info (both cases sound bad!)
I have only been on AIM for 1,5, you just cannot trust that info...
It's always been super quiet here ! (2 posts ever !)
I find these results very promising, I bought today around 53.
Strange how LSE site says (at the present time)
sold:300 K
bought : 475 K
but when I look at the trades it's really:
sold: 135K
bought: 395K
and this is still going down ! MMs in action! we'll probably see a big sell delayed...
but maybe it's always like these on AIM, 1st time I check.
Anyway, I find the results and annoncement very promising.
Already back to SP pre-placement annoncement, impressive !
I hope you other shorters were able to buy back, else it's might be getting painful
After a week, it's still unclear if I'll get a short position at 19 or not ! (what an incompetent broker..!), lastly they say I won't but untill it clears out in my account not sure.. I find it hard to believe I don't get one short at all..
If really not, that's some luck..
I've read people got a full 1:1 short here...
In any case, to hedge this, I bought shares these days...
good trades everyone, I'm off this stock.
My account still shows the same lines as before 27th (somehting to show I am liable for a short position)
I have not received yet my real short position at 19..
I have emailed my broker (intereactive broker) yesterday in order they fix this so that I can buy back this new short position asap.
I was shorting from 27.5 so as long it's under 23.. it's overall a good win
I would have thought maybe you receive a position pro rata of the placement success (77.9 per cent),
I have read somewhere else that a broker calculate the position based on the average of its customer
(although you rent shares from someone to get a short position, it realyy is rented from the broker pool i guess)
Probably a lot of better specialist than me here ! (and with better english ;) )
I might try indeed to close half my short at least around 20.
A bit concerned also against the excess issue that could be claimed against me (that's 10:1).
I doubt everybody would use 100% of that option and how it would be calculated (prorata of something I guess...)
Good it was a small line after all, a lot could happen..!
Although as you mention the theoretical price is 23.8p, and you are of course correct i still think it'll go down to 19p or close (it's not a perfect game indeed)
I hadn't time enough to fully understand the impact of the excess issue, at this time I was thinking it would help to have the SP go nearer 19 but then also increase the chance part of it to be claimed against shorters
absolutly right Poleaxe, I have read the internal info form my broker, now there is not disprecancy.
Now I believe they put this (non tradable) line in order to preview what would happen, but the valuation is quite inacurate (they do not claim to be !), that's what confused me all that time.
"Customers whose accounts are allocated a short position in the rights should take note that the account may be held liable for the terms of the rights offer, including any over-subscription when applicable. Liability will be determined shortly after the end of the rights period."
++
I am indeed short before the 9th (around 2 weeks).
I can confirm you these 2 things:
it was indeed like a dividend: I was short 30000 stocks, I diminished my position to 20000 prior to the 6th, then I received a short position of 'rights' of 30000
no free lunch indeed !
since it's a 1:1 issue, I was expecting the the rights to be valuated at around SP-(19+27)/2=4 on 1st day before the fall from 26, and now 1
it's still quoting at 4 (well -4 for me!) but an automatic message from the broker says it may not be correctly valuated in the interface,
maybe i am wrong on the calculation, 1st time I short a right issue...
even more troubling, broker software say I am at a profit on this line now, don't understand why right now...
at my borker interractive bookers, they call it MTC.BAS, what do you all see at your broker ? @f15jcm you have a short as well, what's the situation
I have also receive 300.000 (so 10:1) MTC.EXC, no idea what it is at this point, but it's quoting 0 and does not change
Everybody says it should go to 19p and I thought the same (I am shorting it at 27,5)
but why is it not yet there even after the 6th of July.
Last posters, have we missed something ?
From previous capital increases I have followed, the fall was brutal after the RNS.
(but I am not that experienced on AIM and english not my mother tongue)
