Can't buy volume at the moment!
There has to be some news for this one soon! Only way is up! GLA
Good luck all.
January RNS Trading Report - "Production in line with expectations, a December lifting from Lancaster, and higher oil prices combined to deliver a $19 million increase in net free cash at year-end compared to end November 2020. A continued recovery in oil prices would further enhance the significant value we see in our West of Shetland portfolio..."
Recent RNS states: *...announces that the Competent Person's Report ("CPR") on the Company's West of Shetland assets by ERC Equipoise Ltd is currently being finalised..."
With the maim focus being on the West Shetland Portfolio and with the oil prices at 63 +, surely it has to be good news! Just a prediction!
Here's to hoping!! GLA !
Have an awesome bank holiday!
I hope you're right! It's about time!
There must be some give today with the price of Brent! GLA
Hurricane Energy rolls out other options
The oil explorer said that it has yet to make definite decisions as to how to proceed. However, it suggested that drilling of the second well now won’t happen until 2022.
Hurricane Energy said that there were various options on the table regarding how to proceed. It could continue planning in 2021 with a view to drilling the side-track next year, it said. The business has also touted drilling the side-track at the same time as a water injection well in 2022 as a combined programme. It is also looking at drilling the side-track in 2022 and a water injection well in 2023.
Hurricane Energy said that the development of Lancaster might depend on factors outside its control. These include “field performance, prevailing oil prices and support from relevant stakeholders and counterparties,” it said.
The company is now engaged in discussions with stakeholders regarding a proposed development plan, as well as funding of work at Lancaster. These stakeholders include a group of convertible noteholders. It added that “discussions on the company’s forward work programme, strategy, financing and balance sheet recapitalisation are ongoing.”
City analysts had been expecting Hurricane Energy to flip from losses of 0.4p per share in 2021 to earnings of 1.4p in 2022 prior to today’s update.

I am sure stakeholders have given their own take on the RNS, but overall in my opinion HUR is telling us that there will be delays in drilling, but suggests they will have enough funds to survive and fund the drilling themselves in 2022. This is key, it shows that the continued rise in oil prices cannot be a bad thing HUR, especially from what was mentioned from their previous RNS.
Finally, HUR mention that talks are still on going, so nothing set in stone. Hoping for a nice update in the following weeks :-)!

RNS is neither good or bad, but it's still positive news, nothing has changed too much! Strange that there has been no comment on the recent rise in oil prices etc... I feel that the RNS was just a small update to suggest that things haven't been finalised. Big things still to come! IMO GLA
Without sounding like a pessimist... Without any news I can't see this closing over 4p... I hope I am wrong ! GLA
Brent was $55 when the last operations RNS was released.
Reminder:
Antony Maris, Chief Executive Officer of Hurricane, commented:
"Production in line with expectations, a December lifting from Lancaster, and higher oil prices combined to deliver a $19 million increase in net free cash at year-end compared to end November 2020. A continued recovery in oil prices would further enhance the significant value we see in our West of Shetland portfolio..."
Brent is now touching $65 ... so surely it's positive. I don't for one minute this one is going to the moon, but from the comments made by Maris, it shows that these prices have a huge positive influence. Just got to stick around and hold on to your holdings if you can.
I still think there is uncertainty, I think lots of people think the same. Unless an RNS is released, we will never know. Thing is, if you have done your research then great, invest and hold/sell, whatever if you like! I have done enough research on this one to have a feeling that this one is a "coiled spring", ready to go any moment. As mentioned in a previous post, I feel that day traders will be kicking themselves once this one flies and when it does, people will want to jump onboard and it will continue that upward trend! ... Just need some certainty from BOD and I feel we will have lift off!
Always DOYR & this is all IMO!
Yeah, it seems to have had its morning wobble... You never know with the markets nowadays! Brent on a high, yet HUR still lagging behind! A huge correction is due very soon! IMO
I agree! I am quite positive that the RNS will be good. Wouldn't want to be out of this before that!
I think a good RNS will help this fly to around 5/6p... all of the profit takers would be kicking themselves. Just gotta hold on! IMO
