So another sorry tale from the serial losers. South Colter oil discovery. Ha! Parta. Ha! ADX been doing **** all for two years and still looking for a farm out. California. Ha! You were lucky to start selling so early. I kept selling into the drops and had sold all my 100k shares well before they hit 50p. Parsons putting his shares jn the blind trust and Marco divvying up shares to all his partners was a sure sign that things weren’t going well. Brian was also very equivocal, like after the deep dive. Parsons kept telling him to be more upbeat. What stuck in my throat was “nobody is going to lose money investing at these levels” when the sp was 80p. I have that on video. There was a guy on PANR ADVFN first time round in Texas. He bought in the teens and sold at 80p. Made no secret of it. People cursed him, called him an idiot. He said he had enough to buy a holiday flat in Spain and build an extension on his house and he was happy with that. Price went to £1.82 before it fell to earth again. I made some money there too, sold on the drop well over a quid. But in both cases a small fraction of what the company had been pumping. Which hurts.

Finally good news. Anyone got any sp predictions for year end? Future potential? I need to free up some cash by then and all my oilies are currently doing well, so difficult decision to come.

And 20 years ago they announced a change in dividend policy, essentially half-ing it, so the sp tanked overnight. I was working on a contract in Norich Union, as it was then, at the time and the staff were livid. Most had a lot of money in save as you earn schemes etc.

I have bought Longboat Energy (LBE), a small £40m North Sea exploration company. With a strong ambitious management team and massive potential, it has announced new drilling operations in an area with significant existing infrastructure, targeting a mean prospective resource potential of 66 mmboe (millions barrels oil equivalent) with an additional 246mmboe of upside. At a current ‘in the ground’ gas value of $10/barrel this is worth 66 x 10 = $660m (£500m) or massively more at the higher resource estimate. This for a company, with cash reserves of £26m is an interesting speculation. If the well’s dry you’ll lose 25%, if it fulfils expectations, you’ll make multiples.

It's an income focused bond fund. You don't expect much from the sp performance. Not one for me though.
