I enjoyed this post over on the other board...
bomber13: No matter what you think of our CEO for his lack of communication skills with investors , or his lack of delivery so far , but there is no doubting his resolve in defence of CAP-XX's IP . Fresh from seeing off Cornell-Dubilier and TDK ( now both licencees ) , and with the case against Ioxus still rumbling along to , hopefully , the same conclusion , CAP-XX has now filed a patent infringement case against the supercapacitor industry “ name “ , Maxwell Communications , which has recently been consumed by Tesla , no less ( see link below ) . CAP-XX is currently capitalised at £14m , Maxwell was bought out for US$235m , and Tesla is capitalised at US$40bn . Elon Musk has made no secret of his attraction to supercapacitor technology , and how it will help/enhance electric vehicle performance . CAP-XX’s CEO , Anthony Kongatts , is , in my humble view , a very conservative , cerebral , patient , long-term thinker with over 20 years of IP in his bag , and I think this news is incredibly significant . The mere fact that he is prepared to take on a 500b gorilla like Maxwell/Tesla with Ioxus not yet settled ( or have they ? ) speaks volumes . It certainly begs the question , could CAP-XX possibly become the ARM equivalent of supercapacitors ?
