Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
also, it's not your average Indian that will be paying for these tests but the government
this 'Safy' is on an aggressive de-ramping campaign this morning.
I haven't read all his posts but noticed the one about pricing on test and would suggest he look at cost's of tests in India and cost of the GDR test, I've done so already and in the £8-10 range it is highly competitive, especially so for a superior offering, it is actually on the lower range of prices for tests in that country
BBN - Thank you for the well articulated note of reason.
I would add that just yesterday I was reading that India is keen to ramp up testing but one of the challenges they have identified is training, a test like GDR's, a pellet as the reagent not only saves an immense amount of time but importantly does not require the tester to be an expert in mixing reagents - saving time on training in that regard. This is a significant USP which enables testing to ramp up quicker, easier and with higher accuracy and confidence in the result.
'bears out in force' what a BS statement, barely had 1.4M in volume, wait till the volume ticks up on the good news then we'll see how it moves. this is drops on light volume
I dont think so, ive not 'ramped' it, just laid out whats happening in the market for covid tests. For GDR that's Africa, Asia etc and in terms of Covid those markets are where the UK and Europe was 2 months ago, hitting daily highs in # of infections, one only need to look at the charts and read the statements the WHO is making.
Your comments are nothing but deramping, baseless statements on how this is going to drop sub 100P, which is likely youre desired entry point
I dont think it its a long term one, yes lockdowns being eased in Europe and US but look what is happening elsewhere INdia hitting record highs, as are countries in Latin America and Africa. South Africa is massively behind on where it wanted to be on testing with AP stating it was a 'striking example of the painful shortage of testing kits and reagents across Africa as cases steadily rise' and these are the markets that GDR is targetting
Also yes there may be some larg-ish intraday moves to the downside due to the low shares in issue (not quite sure where 30p came from, certainly wasnt that today - the 157 was not the true close yesterday) but the same will happen on the upside when the news drops (due anytime now over the next few sessions per the CEOs stated timeline), i.e. 30P, if not more, swings on the SP - on the announcement of the CE marking it opened c.60-70p up, yes didnt hold due to the placing overhang but it certainly shows what is possible.
Wintertime for the US and EU is a maybe - in 2 weeks time we will know what the extent and damage from the ongoing protests etc are and the easings last week so there is no guaranteed covid is not gone right now - it may still be here, and regardless, even if it is easing off, testing is still a requirement.
SO what does this mean, we may still be in a covid environment in the US and Europe but if were not the rest of the world definately is and is hitting daily highs for which testing is key to effective management and supply is short .
Also, dont get these random comments 'i just dont know what the company is doing' it updated you 2 weeks ago via three media interviews, smells like people are sowing negativity in the hope of cheap entries.
Lots of news is due and when each piece of it lands th SP will be higher, cant say what or for how long it will stay there but can say higher
"no RNS's have been arriving when there should be" are you kidding me? So far, every bit of news has arrived exactly when the CEO said it would
thanks GD93
thanks flying machine. so looks like calculus may also be in [or at the end of] the process of reducing
interesting, thanks for posting Marve. Shame about these things is theres no snapshot of what it looked like prior to contrast against.
Do you know if the %ages again any of the others have reduced? Just trying to work out if others may still be in the process of offloading.
Great news that Odey and River * MErcantile are out though, should free up the SP somewhat to move up
thanks scart, saw that, just wanted to confirm that is what this whole 1 gene 2 gene thing was about
@technik, is the GDR test a 2 gene test? can you give any more info on what this is about and where it says this on the prod description to confirm? just thinking this may open up the whole french market to gdr (they rejected ncyt couple of weeks ago for only being 1 gene)
All the best with your little one Scart
David Budd is a man that sticks to timelines and is conservative about what he says ensuring he delivers on what he promises.
He said first Sales in June. I suspect in the three weeks that GDR was waiting for CE Marking they had sent the tests out to potential customers for evaluation and had likely got some form of feedback that potential customers were happy with what they had seen and would be likely to sign once GDR received CE Marking hence why he inserted the comment about first Sales in June. The two weeks to June probably to finalise paperwork etc meaning we should be expecting news soon
The point has, unsurprisingly, gone completely over your head.
To spell it out, he likely did not mention the amount of money he would be making from these tests so not to be seen as someone profiteering from the problem.
He didn't place at a quarter of the value, he agreed to a placing at a 10% discount. Just so happened the price surged afterwards. Not much he can do about that when the agreements are done and dusted.
Safy, use your loaf pal, how will he look to the general public if he starts talking about how GDR is going to make 60 to 80% margins?!
Ever heard of the word 'profiteering' sounds like you don't remember it's connotations if you have, and if you haven't, do go look it up
this is a key point, STOCKPILES, and Gendrive tests are the only one that don't need to be stored in any special conditions meaning they are EASY to STOCKPILE.
we know the difficulties countries had at the beginning if the crisis with sourcing reagents etc, one way to insure themselves against future problems of the sort will be to stockpile and the best way to stockpile cheaply is to stockpile those tests that dont need to be kept refrigerated etc!
This is the best thing I've read all day
tough not to beat oneself about those types of situations dream machine lol. the second especially was a proper 'D'OH' moment
