TAC - I mean thanks for being Captain Obvious. But taken to its logical conclusion, why talk about anything eh? You're on here everyday whinging about Heid being on here everyday. Why not just go about your business quietly.

Well unfortunately TAC that's not how we work is it. We have a discussion board to sound off views and opinions about anything and everything. This one, is about UJO, and anyone and everyone is within their rights to pass positive or negative opinions. There are lots of things I don't understand - your relentless positive in the face of no realistic financial return for a long time. I don't understand Heids relentless need to have a pop at the directors daily, I don't understand the anti oil lot that frequent these boards, as if they are making any difference to 1 UJO 2 there environmental aims. But....that's public discourse for you. But, what i can understand is finding other points of view interesting. It why we are on these boards.

This is the main crux of the problem. Whilst we have had a steady stream of positive news on our own internal affairs, the macro economic landscape is far more bleak.

We have communists, and neurotic eco zealots coming into power, who are at best hostile to fossil fuels. Of course none of their actions stem the demand for fossil fuels, all they do is serve to make overseas powers more powerful and influential, of which they are already so.

Sorry but for me, this share has become again a 5 year play, and i do not expect to see a return in that period. Soon as i am at parity i will likely pull out.

Im afraid the board have to take some blame. We have had a number of years now to mobilise productive assets whilst the macro landscape was somewhat more friendly....if still considered hostile. This hasnt happened and now i cant see our assets being monetised for quite a while. Therefore its probably now about developing overseas - which in all honesty is going to get swallowed up by Directors salaries.

Sorry to seem negative - but its hard to be positive in year 5 of an investment without any meaningful return, unless youve been a trader

Classic Daft response TAC. Suggesting that the Directors taking hundreds of thousands in Salaries, whilst shareholder return is practically zero, isnt the same as saying they shouldnt be paid at all.

Remember - any analysis of the financials shows still that the company is propped up by the shareholders cash. And with the outlook of future cashflows coming from the investment in assets looking slim in the near future, it doesnt feel appropriate for Directors to be taking exorbitant salaries. Although accepted that i think they should be paid very well, as they are doing good things in a difficult environment.

HIgh salaries will be common though, as with the ridiculous windfall taxes, its more tax efficient to take a large salary, than a dividend

Surely we all have to consider the idea that not drilling any of the prospects is an economically sensible idea. i.e extracting oil now, whilst the government(s) are hostile to it, with there windfall taxes makes no sense. Rather would it not be better to wait, until the political end of things has settled

Covid wasnt a scam, it was very real - but that doesnt mean the actions of the government where fair, appropriate or effective in dealing with it

Whats staggering is that the UK could and should be an "oil rich" nation. The amount of oil we drill for has no bearing on carbon output whatsoever. If we are determined to have this net zero policy, its demand destruction that will slow the oil processes down. Turning the taps off, doesnt stop you being thirsty!

TAC - all well and good, but the profits will be realised in a UK company, of which Mr Sta(lin)rmer is going to take 75% of it off you. So the only winners are - excessively salaried execs, and (HMRC) His Majesties Robbers and Communists

With the communists likely to get in power, who are both increasing taxes on the industry, but also disincentivising investment i really cant see much hope here and feel...the next time it touches 25p, i am pulling out. That will be a loss for me of around 6p a share, but, we are destined for a government who panders to political and illogical whim to curry favour with middle class, green haired eco-zealots.

TAC - i cant find much to disagree with what you have said. However, you miss the most important point.

look at the tax bill! jesus christ! why on earth would you invest in the uk!

well done union jack and its shareholders, you have contributed to generating significant incomes, tax receipts and oil and gas for our economy. mr government however, is going to take most of what you have generated off you. sooooo how does companies lower the corporation tax bill...... they pay their directors more ---- who yes.... then pay tax, but then also that serves to hive the money up to a select few people.

Earnings per share are 0.79. Trading at 24p (ish) per share and its going to take you a very long time to earn your money back.

One would have expected it not to go down 14p after it had in very recent history been down to 11p

CT5 - dont be so amazed! i shall refer you back to the year 2020, when sentiment around the WN project, Biscathorpe and others led people and professional from various circles that we would "easily" hit share prices approaching £1. Low end estimates of 60p where seen as definite. Time frames where 12 months "max".

Here we are, 4 years on, the Share price cant break 30p. WN hasn't been delivered, Biscathorpe hasn't been delivered. Shareholder return has been basically zero.

And yes, i get it, i think the board, are building great things, Wressle is looking fantastic with further upside, we have planning on BIsc, we have our little trip over the pond bearing fruit.

But the cold hard fact is. If you are a shareholder, you have no return. So it amazes me, that you are amazed that the promise of jam tomorrow - doesnt quite fill the confidence bucket of a lot of people.

I am going to hang about, because i think great things are being done - but i consider my money lost - until, i see the cash clear my account. Lets hope the board can convince, with their activities some further SP enhancing investment
