Bizzarly enough I think this is actually good news for the company.

Europa were hoping to drill this in Q4 and at a cost to Angus of £800,000 an expense they could do without at this point.

The Acquisition

The Company's wholly owned subsidiary, Angus Energy Weald Basin No.3 Limited ("AWB3") has entered into an agreement to acquire a 12.5% economic interest in PEDL143 through the immediate payment of certain historic costs incurred by the Operator along with 25% of the costs of the Holmwood-1 exploration well up to a gross well cost of £3.2 million (£800,000 net cost to Angus), and certain further contingent costs as further set out below.

The Company will participate in the drilling of the planned Holmwood-1 exploration well, which obtained planning consent during 2015, that will test the Holmwood Prospect's identified Portlandian and Corallian sandstone reservoirs and the same Jurassic section that tested oil from Kimmeridge limestones at Horse Hill.

·   The Acquisition is complementary to the Angus' existing portfolio particularly as PEDL143 is bordering the Western and Southern sides of the Company's oil field in Brockham (PL235)

·    Holmwood-1 is a high impact exploration well with planning consent and is expected to be drilled in 2017

·    Europa estimates the unrisked gross mean prospective resources to be 5.6 million barrels with a geological chance of success ("COS") of 33% from the shallower sandstone reservoirs only

·    Net well cost to Angus expected to be £800,000 and will be financed from the proceeds of the Placing

·    Further upside resource potential exists from the Jurassic Kimmeridge limestones

·    Presence of multiple payzones

With no revenue coming in from the three wells in production, they are going to need money from somewhere would you not agree.

·             Oil sales during the period was approximately £34,000. of which £19,000 was recognised by the group. A total of 706 bbls produced related to the Lidsey-X2 well test, therefore not commercial production. Daily production recommenced on 31 March.

Yes, they probably have 3 months reserves. But on the latest production figures, they don't have any income.
The OGA require them to financially viable which very shortly they won't be given the massive outlay coming up!

Very quiet on the board this weekend. I think with this latest news we could see the departure of quite a few posters?

My point would be.................Three uncommercial wells if these figures are to be believed! Lidsey only 12 BOPD and Brockam 4 BOPD Yet RNS's and interviews claiming production of over 200 barrels of oil per day!!

Its no secret I don't have a lot of time for the company and it seems my this latest piece of news confirms my concerns are justified. (AGAIN)

No income coming into the company.....and massive expense coming up at Balolme, Brockam, Holmwood (Q4 Apparently) and Lidsey it would now seem.

How are they going to finance all this work??........ More dilution coming without question.

This is what the whole paragraph says!

In March 2018 the Company resumed continuous production from the Portland Reservoir via the BR-X2Y well at the Brockham oil field, as well as from the Great Oolite Reservoir at the Lidsey oil field from the Lidsey-X1 in February 2018. Following replacement of the Lidsey-X2 pump in March 2018, the Company has three conventional wells in production from its Lidsey and Brockham oil fields but, given ongoing work to improve production levels, with certain days of suspended production. The Company will update shareholders as and when material changes in current production rates have been achieved over a consistent period.

Furthermore, the Company notifies investors that, following its RNS of 29 March 2018 whereby it disclosed that the Company had gross production of 212bopd across its 3 producing wells, the Company gave an illustrative, back of the envelope estimate of approximately £1.5 million of free cashflow to the licence holders from each 100 barrels produced at an oil price of $75 after sale and transport costs during podcast interviews yesterday, only for purposes of example. It should not be considered as forward-looking information and/or a guarantee of future performance.

I would remind all that the figures supplied to the OGA are from Angus. I can't imagine they would be wrong on three separate months?

Don't forget Angus only get 50/60% of this oil as there share.

The three wells in continuous production have an aggregate flow rate of 212bopd. A natural decline of the production rates is expected over time. Flow rates from the Lidsey Oil field are currently 191bopd, a three-fold increase over its initial flow rates as reported in the Company's RNS, 17 November 2017 for both Lidsey wells. Brockham Oil Field has resumed production at 21 bopd. The Company expects this flow rate to increase to roughly 35 bopd within approximately 7 days,
