Agree Wile.
On the whole, really encouraging update for long term holders. £9 bil sat in the bank with some big sales pending. I personally think travel will explode next year due to pent up demand. Travel stocks down circa 4% today so I’ll take a 10p drop all day long.
If you look back at when H1 results were announced (27th August), the share price dropped by about 10p (in today’s currency). The update was based on hypothetical scenarios and was surrounded by ambiguity (no end date to pandemic, looking at ways to strengthen balance sheet, still making cuts etc et)
Totally different ball game this time round - we might see a small dip but it’ll bounce pretty much. Just take this board as an example, a lot of people have sold based on a risk and reward model - expecting it to drop but are itching to get back in.
A lot of nonsense being posted recently but the reality is institutional investors are not in this for a quick buck, hence the recent stability, and lack of open shorts - I think we’ll be good.
My only advice would be, don’t listen to all the retrospective dribble on this forum (it’s easy to call it after it’s happened) - stick to your strategy, don’t get greedy and always do your own research.

Brexit no deal already priced in, and rolls have spent millions prepping for a no deal scenario. I’m expecting the theme of the update to be very positive:
Cost cutting - achieved
Power and Defence - flying
Civil - will recover with vaccine being rolled out
Liquidity - not an issue
I think the SP represents incredible value and is tracking inline with market sentiment. Just my opinion but stating obvious facts.
I can’t help but think this trip to Brussels is one big publicity stunt? A picture of Bozzo jumping on a private jet with a red briefcase in his hand really!?
A picture of the two will emerge at some point, all smiles, with a deal in the bag (probably a bad one)
