Have been invested in TERN for years and it looks like it might finally be coming to the boil.
Frontier appears to be a different beast with a a different invesment emphasis.
I would liken this to be simmering nicely and expect it to come to the boil in due course.
Have researched TEK and was not quite convinced by what I found. I need to do more research on its investee companies. before I would consider this.
Also invested in RGO, which has had its troubles in the past but seems to have done well on the timing of some of its recent investments and looks undervalued.
Investing in Frontier helps to spread my investments and hence risk.
I like what I see here. Seems to be managed OK and their is good potential.
After doing a bit of research on Frontier IP I have just dipped a toe in here.
Go figure, my buy is showing up as a sell.
Looks an intersting company.
Like the idea of investing in university spin offs.
Not without some risk, but offers potential exciting rewards as well.
Looks like there were some growing pains between 2011 and 2017 but since then, Frontier appear to be growing nicely.
Especially in the last year or so.
This still seems under the radar and is currently only just over NAV. (about 1.25x by my guesstimate)
Will look to aquire more if this dips back towards NAV.
From my records...
On the 24/04/20 RGO had 26,899,993 PIRI shares and 10,750,000 PIRI warrants @ 4p.
From the PIRI RNS today RGO still appear to hold 26,149,993 PIRI shares and I presume they still hold the same number of warrants.
However the number of PIRI shares in issue has increase from 119,472,465 as recorded on the 30th June 2020
to 143,289,432 as detailed in todays RNS.
Hence RGO's percentage has dropped to 18.2% as a result of the increased number of PIRI shares in issue.
Along with warrants being excercised, they issued another 14,391,144 shares for Purchase of shareholding in Sure Ventures plc.
I think these new shares were admitted on 15 February
Hello
Just posting here to see if any one will be able to answer a question I have about the current valuation here.
From what I've found, AAA has the following investments...
Asimilar Group (ASLR)
£840,000 investment for 1,200,000 ASLR shares at £0.70 on 30th March 20.
Investment of £156,000 for 240,000 warrants in ASLR shares excercisable @ 5p per share
Investment of £60,000 for options to aquire 20,500,000 warrants in ASLR shares
15,500,000 of these warrants exercisable at 6 pence per share
5,000,000 of these warrants exercisable at 18 pence per share
Should AAAC choose to exercise the Options in full and the Warrants are acquired in full, then under the terms of the Options, the Company would issue a total of 231,000,000 new ordinary shares in the Company to the Warrant Holders at a price of 1.5 pence per AAAC share.
[Current price of ASLR shares approx £0.36]
MESH
3,000,000 euro two year secured convertible loan yielding annual interest of 5.0% payable on repayment.
AAA may opt to convert the loan into new ordinary shares in MESH at a price of 40p per MESH share
A further 650,000 euro loan added to the existing 3,000,000 euro secured convertible loan repayable 22nd November 22
AAQUAA B.V
1,000,000 euro fee for option agreement to allow investment of to 125,000 new AAQUA ordinary shares at 1000 euro per share. Option valid until 10th December 2021 unless acceleration clause activated at which point AAA would have 60 days to excercise some or all of the available options.
As at the date of grant, options over 12,500 Option Shares with an aggregate exercise price of €12.5 million have vested and are capable of being exercised by AAA
At the date of grant, AAA does not have the funding to exercise the Option in full nor does it have the funding to exercise the vested Options in full
They did also have part of a hotel in myanmar, but that's just been flogged.
Approx 1 Billions shares in issue.
By my reckoning around £9.5 million cash left
A rough calculation suggests Total Assets at near £14 million
Current share price at the time of the post 28p
This makes the current share price a multiple of approx 20x Assets per share.
They have cash for investments but not enough to satisfy the option for AAQUAA B.V shares
Another fund raise would be required for this
The prospect of another 231,000,000 shares being raised to excercise further ASLR warrants
Am I missing something.
Are there other investments I have not identified.
Hello to everyone here.
I've been researching TEKCapital and believe this is an interesting stock with quite a bit of potential.
I'm currently looking at investing here, but want to get a good entry point.
Based on my research, I have estimated the NAV here to be about 28.5 cents or 20.5p. So based on the current share price it seems like the price is at a slight discount to NAV.
When looking at TEK's history, there have been a number of placings over time.
Only to be expected I suppose.
From the interims they had approx $1,034,348 cash in the bank.
Add to this approx $500,000 from recent fundraise in November.
From the details in the interims / finals I have guestimated the cash burn at somewhere between $67K & $83K per month. (So somewhere between $400K and $670K burn till end of January)
So this should leave them around the $1,000,000 give or take $100K
Enought for the immediate future, assuming no new investment funding is required.
But in the absence of any disposals, I expect more funding will be required sometime this year.
I wondered what peoples expectations are.
Thanks for your considered response -Feeder- .
I agree that it will be interesting to see how this develops and I certainly don't know what the future will hold here.
It's just a bit too speculative for my taste at the moment.
Once some investments are in the bag and some decent research and due diligence can be carried out then I will possibly revisit. I plan to keep them on my watchlist for the time being.
These sort of investments usually go through a number of fundraises as they build up.
So I expect their will be ample opportunity to get on board at a realistic price in the future.
Best of Luck
Thanks for the responce -Feeder- and Investor2019.
So in summary, it would appear people are currently paying pound coins to buy twenty pence pieces , largely based on the past reputation of the Directors.
The hope must be that they are succesful again and dont go all Neil Woodford in the future.
It does not appeal to me as I dont even know what they will be investing in and hence can't make any informed decisions.
Still, the best of luck to those who do invest here.
I have recently noticed all the interest here and trying to understand the pricing.
From looking back at the information I could find in RNS's.
There are approx 451 million shares issued.
They have stated as having approx 2.2 million cash.
As of yet they have no investments or business function.
Under AIM Rule 15 they have a limited time period to either raised at leat £6 million or completed a reverse takeover.
A very basic calculation suggests that the NAV per share is approx 0.5 p
So why the price action ?
Is it just a case of people with too much money speculating ?
Am I missing something
