Good price doing well in holding above 3300

So to understand why people were buying it up in and around 2021 it would be useful to watch this video which is from a stock picker from 2021. Looks like back then the focus was the gold reserves in each mine and the POTENTIAL to mine the reserves. It was all about anticipation and forward looking. In a way it got ahead of itself.

PS -a few sells (chunky) so far today. Could well be profit takers who got in below 0.05

No Tim Winnifrith is his actual name so he’s not made it up. His parents are to blame for that I suspect! He’s a short attacker.

As for me not posting - yeah I’ve only felt a need to get involved on the BB as I have increased my holding to about 10% (a risky gamble considering it’s a gold miner and its AIM). As it’s such a large weighting of my portfolio now (yeah I know it goes against all the rules to go that big - especially on something like GRL) I have been following the BB more carefully. Chris’s comments have been useful. Hence the need to just post and get myself challenge or get my ideas/thoughts confirmed

Not everybody is cloak and dagger out here - I don’t have any other handles. Some of us are just normal peeps who got a bit excited and or greedy when buying. 😃

Getting more serious, that type of buying pressure isn’t really moving the stock price which is a bit concerning. But at least a big fish has a fair bit of conviction in the company. Cynics will think there’s a leak of good news.

Brick by brick she’s building something. As long as a wolf doesn’t blow her brick house down we will be OK and make some decent money.

Theoretically it is an easy win from here. Just keep increasing gold pours - all the infrastructure is in place for that rn (as long as they’ve not been telling any porkies).

Being cautious is fine. We should all be cautious. But we must recognise the improvement over the last 12 months. The company is in a better position now. Priestley is behind that. Maybe it’s getting close to the time to give her some credit….

Emma Priestley is experienced in the industry and she’s doing a decent job of late (as long as there’s no surprises).

Ofc the 1000oz prediction backfired. Easier to under promise and over deliver in the market. Think she threw that comment out to hype up the market. Not a good move. The Final Year RNS was actually much more reserved. It mentioned gradual increasing of gold pours.

As for Bill, happy to have him in the background helping the company. He’s an asset to the company.

Really need it all reinforced with a good update. 4yrs ago the mcap was circa 50m. We are currently on a mcap of 7m.

I’d argue we are in a better position than back then as a company. Good pours are ramping gradually.

A significant corporate event - project sale?

Not sure what project you’ve got in mind but the only event the market is anticipating is good pour results.

Hoping this momentum can continue on good pour news. I was accumulating in June and July so have built up a sizeable position for me. Definitely a long and cautiously bullish. Not a basher.

There’s a buzz around this sector. Filming and projects are set to progress. Facilities by ADF has had a run up share price too. It’s some of that back just like ZOO.

In reality to get a sustained and confident rally ZOO needs to show positive results.

Harry Redknapp’s wife Sandra could even score this one!

It’s all set up. This new operations team just need to ensure there’s no operational issue. That’s the major fear, they screw it up by an operational hiccup and have to suspend production.

That’s all she has to do. Ensure there’s no screw up. Margin of error now has massive.

Whatever you say about Priestley, List and Trew…they are experienced in the industry.

If one inside group has got wind of something being deeply awry to the extent that they’re selling at basement prices then this would lead to a mass rush to the exit doors from other inside groups. That doesn’t seem to be the case.

Your fear *could* be right but right now nothing supports it.

The lack of rampers and hype from social media and stock pickers is an annoyance to me. Priestley could have gone on PR and press campaign granting interviews to all and sundry months ago to pump the stock instead of the 1000oz claim.

Maybe her 1000oz claim has just got investors selling due to a lack of trust - again this is an argument against your fear that’s there’s something deeply wrong with minion operations leading to an insider selling off.

If she never gave us such a hyped projection then maybe there would have been no sell off

Like I say looking to buy more if it stays at these levels of goes lower this month. It’s hard to do this but for me it’s an asymmetrical investment opportunity. With there being so many decent opportunities in the market right now and money on the sidelines one can understand why buyers aren’t coming in for GRL (plus the Priestley 1000 stuff)

Are you not averaging down if you’ve been invested since 2020? What’s your average cost?

I’m relatively new to GRL. Been accumulating at these prices. Planning to buy more if it stays under 5 next week.

Stocks like GRL are about the long game. Patience is needed. If the can just keep gold production ticking up each quarter then they will start convincing those who lost confidence in the BoD and Emma. For me the claim of “1000oz in a few months” been a source of frustration but I’d rather have management set themselves high production goals (I’d prefer it if they don’t put them out publicly). Just temper down expectations. Under promise and over deliver!

At least in the yearly report they’ve taken that attitude. They’ve just said there will be a gradual increase. That’s sufficient. Rather have realism.

As for paid bashers, there’s definitely a seller. A stupid or very distressed seller. Why sell at these prices when you could hold off and possibly get at least double the current price!

As for Mcap, both mines have Value as assets. This is not priced in either.

Will try to average down next week if it remains in the 4s.

Problem with that is I don’t see the big buys. Just the big sells.

Also one thing else I’ve noticed is the utter lack of online buzz around GRL. You’d think online stock pundits/groups and YouTubers would mention it at these levels. Just no attention whatsoever.

Anybody concerned by these big sells going through as indiclosed. Clearly there’s a big seller. Wonder if it’s Angela List.

Not helping the stock price. Who is selling? And who is buying in small bits.
