Well summed up and i'm in complete agreement. Hannam and Partners' recent research note gave a right now risked(also using 15% cos for Guyana) price of 113p/share, with 53p attributable to Guyana. Even without an increase in prospective oil, a 30% cos would give a 166p/share risked price. The key part for me in yesterdays statement was the 'potential scale' comment. Appears to me that theres going to be a big number coming, so they need to do it precicesly. 'Drilling is expected to commence in late 2018 or early 2019 and the potential scale of this resource requires a detailed strategy and confident interpretation'

Good luck, but all depends on how many ECO shares PIRI still has, after they took a mere15% profit on some of their 16p investment. They're unlikely(imo) to have not sold a lot more, as ECO continued its rise, if they thought 15% was worth taking profits on.

Eco Atlantic Oil & Gas is an exploration company looking for oil off the coast of Guyana and Namibia. This may seem an unusual stock for uncertain times but Eco has powerful friends and the shares, currently 31.1p, should go far. The business was founded by a group of entrepreneurial friends, with more than 200 years� combined experience in the energy industry. Their intention was clear from the start. First, they identify underexplored but politically stable parts of the world where oil might be found. Second, they negotiate directly with governments to obtain the right to explore. In both Guyana and Namibia, the calibre of its neighbours and partners is highly encouraging. In Namibia, ExxonMobil is in the process of acquiring a 40% participating interest in PEL 82 from Galp. The 11,444km2 deep water block is located between Eco�s Guy and Sharon blocks and close to the Cooper and Tamar licences. In Guyana, Total has announced that it has farmed into a 25% working interest in the Kanuku licence from Repsol and a 35% working interest in the Canje licence from JHI Associates. The Kanuku block is located adjacent to Eco�s Orinduik block, in which Total has already negotiated an option to acquire a 25% working interest from Eco for a total consideration of US$13.5m. Both Orinduik and Kanuku are positioned up-dip from ExxonMobil�s giant Liza discovery. The terms of these transactions have not been confirmed. Comment We believe these transactions once again underline the significant exploration potential seen by the oil and gas industry in both Guyana and Namibia and how well-placed Eco�s acreage is in each basin. In Guyana, Eco recently confirmed that processing of the 3D seismic acquired on the Orinduik block in 2017 is nearing completion and Total will have up to 120 days from receipt of this data to exercise the option. Following Total�s transactions to expand its acreage position in Guyana, we now believe that there is only a small risk that this option is not exercised. From an industry perspective, the ExxonMobil transaction is arguably the more significant as it represents a new country entry. While the block acquired is large, we believe ExxonMobil will likely want to increase it�s footprint and with competition for exploration acreage increasing, this could provide an opportunity to Eco to farm-out one of blocks on favourable terms.

Total said it was buying a 35 percent working interest in the Canje Block, in an agreement signed with an affiliate of Canadian company JHI Associates Inc. and Guyana-based company Mid-Atlantic Oil & Gas Inc. These two companies will retain a shared 30 percent interest alongside operator ExxonMobil <XOM.N>, which has a 35 percent stake. Total has also bought a 25 percent working interest stake in the Kanuku Block, in an agreement with Repsol <REP.MC> and Tullow Oil <TLW.L>. Repsol and Tullow each have stakes of 37.5 percent in that block. Total added it had an option to buy a 25 percent working interest in the Orinduik Block, in an agreement with Canadian company Eco Atlantic Oil & Gas Ltd <EOG.V>, which will retain a 15 percent interest following exercise of the option, alongside Tullow Oil which has 60 percent.

Galp farms down 40% in Namibia PEL 82 to ExxonMobil Thursday, Feb 01, 2018 Galp informs that it is in the process of farming-down a 40% participating interest in the Petroleum Exploration License (PEL) 82 in Namibia to an ExxonMobil subsidiary. Following the conclusion of the transaction, both Galp and ExxonMobil will hold a 40% interest in the license, and Galp will maintain the operatorship. The National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR) and Custos, a local Namibian company, each hold a 10% stake in the license. The license is located in the Walvis basin and covers an area of 11,444 sq km in water depths ranging from 300 m to 2,000 m.
