Suggest every shareholder register to vote on this matter through their brokers if in nominee accounts.
Same thing happened to me with Cityfibre Now a 3 billion pound company , thought I read somewhere, although I made a small profit on that one.
These private equity companies are asset strippers and sharks.

I still hold Vod by the way and I am losing considerably on them.

I was awarded the shares when vod sold them off.

The figures are on my valuation statements. Verizon are trading at $56.92 at present

Still got mine pays 10.6 percent+ dividend yield net .
cost per share 1516 pence now 4014 pence been a far superior investment than Vod.

I have e--mailed the company advising them of the situation. Will update on any response.

Halifax are a B****Y pain .Had same problem with MTR. Go to Mtr web site and find the KId document for an example . The company has to have KID document (Has to do with regulation.) They will not deal on a company that doesn't have one. You are supposed to read the document and tick a box before a trade can take place. If this is the case you need to contact TRR tell them the situation and get them to submit one to Halifax Share Dealing before they will entertain you.
