These results are a real achievement for the Management under the prevailing conditions. But for the exceptional costs which relate directly to the downturn of the economy; profits would have doubled with turn over up and we might even have been in surplus. Debts are down to a poultry £20M. Thats good because it gives us options in the future. Management playing a sound long term game. I see consultancies on the horizzon too. Obviously they are taking my advice and all credit due to me of course.

So the price is dropg substantially without heavy selling. ?? Obviously being lowered by MM to put the screamers on uncertain share holders so MM can gather stock in for themselves or some Messrs Big. When Monthly or qterly gold production figures come out if they are high then the price recovers. Note it is possible to delay production increases by prioritising conctruction and other jobs so dont assume production will be up whilsr MM are taking SP down. When they take it up then production will be showing up. U need as much bull sh1t as them

It all happens within the context of the market as a whole. FTSE 100 has a bit of a cold right now with it dippg below 4250. So with portfolios low and business conditions not quite on an even keel lots of people might need to do some selling to get out of possitions that are hanging over them. EML might just be one they can conveniently dump without taking to much of a loss. So thats sellers. Buyers ? Those are the big guns we are waiting for. Player may well be RIO, Chinese, the Frenchies and the Aussies. They may just not be ready to go for it yet and so the little guys (thats u ) must just sit around and wait.. The Chinese may decide to pout over their Chinalco's failure to cut a deal with RIO.. ( I seem to remember 3 Rio executives are currently held at the pleasure of the Chinese govt ) I imagine that will keep Rio's attention for a bit and that may be the intention of the Chinese. Just another bargaining chip. So although it might seem quiet to us there is plenty going on we dont see or hear. The trick is not to get squashed when the big guns roll into town. I sold POLO during one of the big AM tennis games thinking MM might be distracted. Next day the price dropd. I am waiting to add to EML. Normally I would be deramping now prior to buying.

All the flaky sellers are gone. You have to put the idea selling into peoples heads. PLAN bung a tipster a wedge and get him to print a very sensible plan that the smart clever thing to do is to sell 1/2 and support their greed by saying everyone can still enjoy making loads of dough on the remaining 1/2 after they have sold. All that selling will bring the price down for your buying. Sneaky duds

After applying the above highly sophisticated test I have gleened the following. The banks clearly have faith that there is a substantial healthy business here. With yesterdays paper coverage on the railways I thought there may be a fair bit of selling. ie Gbrown has given all the money to Banks and the Rail franchises seem to be written so that the holders can get out when they are expected to start paying up hence finance for some of the big projects may be a little further away that we might have hoped for. But there was little selling. Those that might sell have already sold and those that are left are fatalistic ( thats me ) so we may have hit bottom. So if the news cant get worse and we are to live on it must get better ??!! Sorry if I am a little opaque sometimes. Thing is nobody knows where I live. I could be Gordon Brown!!!!!
