It is of course again to industrialize but this time to install huge quantities of power generation which is not powered by hydrocarbons and indirectly railways are part of that. The age of the Train is about to leave the station. Its a twenty year project. The prospect of taking on the airlines is very real. European City to City it will be the prefered method of mass transport in 10 years time and airlines will be intercontinental only. ( No tears shed they have never made a profit ). As I have posted before my hope is that Jarvis turns into a consltancy any time soon and then it will have very real relavance in the coming expansion of the rail construction and upgrade of the networks. I think we who are left appreciate this but are disappointed with our timing. Well thats just the way it goes. It may take two or three years before contracts are let or we may get picked of by a Frenchy who will obviously choose his moment when we are at our weakest. Honestly I dont see any light yet.
