Alison Dolan received a restricted share award of 161,385 shares.

Well, I bought shares last night at the close, and I'm not regretting it.

AI currently states an estimated price of +3.5-4.0% up on yesterday's close. This is based on better than predicted numbers, increased dividend, and the recently released (this mornings) inflation data.

That said this seems like a royal bargain, given fuel costs are hedged and they only have limited business in that area of the world.

Also it can’t be good for the majors based in the Middle East, Emirates, Qatar, etc… is hurting the competition a bad thing 🤔

There are not going to be any share buybacks, they do not have the cash. Stop harping on about it.

With regards to the short sellers, they'll move along when the company improves its performance.

Also, short sellers do not affect the stock price, because when they sell they have to at some stage buy back, one cancels the other out. Short sellers seek out companies that they believe are overvalued, and in this case they were on the money, it was.

They may still be right, and the issues are still here, they will move along as soon as the company has a better outlook.

It ain't over yet.

Share buybacks, are you kidding.

I'd of thought a rights issue would of been far higher up the list, than share buybacks.

This is not about increasing the share price, at the cost of spare capital that they do not have. This is about restructuring the company, there are no quick wins here.

If you are looking for share buy backs, you need to look elsewhere.

Why do you think it is going to cost them several hundred million to make cost savings.

Redundancies cost money, specifically in regard to severance payments. They are clearly about to make significant numbers of redundancies.

Once those redundancies have been paid for, the benefits of lower headcount will come to pass.

The dividend was maintained, at a lower level. i.e. it was cut, but not removed completely.

As you state the yield will therefore be circa 5.65% (likely to change in the time it takes me to type it). ;-)

Well, my punt (and trading) a few days back has so far paid off, 3% gain (isn't the lack of stamp duty wonderful), staying in for today was a gamble (well it was).

As for the results, they seem to be better than predicted, not much, but certainly not as bad as they could have been.

That said the divi was cut (expected), but the biggest fear was, axed. If my math is correct is leaves a 5.5% yield at current price. I'm happy with that.

Regards my position, I'm happy to cut and run on a decent profit today, but given the dividend confirmed, would happily buy the yield (and the story going forward) if it drops a little today.

Prediction, I don't see it falling today. ;-)
