An off-book trade refers to a stock trade that is executed away from the exchange, via the OTC market. Usually, a trade price is agreed between two parties and then one of the two trade participants will report both sides of the trade to the market in order to bring the execution on exchange. This reporting process can be delayed up to a specified time, according to the exchanges parameters, and doesnt have to be immediate. Sounds like TB has found a buyer without going to MMs?
Hello, Share Purloiners. There was a welter of off-stage discussion at the last mouth-watering UK Investor Show on April 1st about Feedback (FDBK). Its another of those AIM-listed medical pioneers, looking to develop new life-saving techniques. The share had rocketed to about 3.25p that week. Today its around 2p. A rather nasty dip. But my family has patiently kept its shares because we were waiting for a CE mark (sign of EU quality) to be awarded. Well, now the company has just announced the award of one of these badges of honour. The firm claims it has the potential to help medics in diagnosing and treating cancer. I would think the word potential is understating it, as TexRAD is already installed in more than 40 research institutions. These can be found in Europe, North America, Asia and Down Under. The new CE mark has been attached to TexRAD Lung, which helps look at scans for lung cancer. It confirms that TexRAD satisfies the quality, safety and performance standards for medical devices in the European Union. Lung cancer has been the most common cancer in the world for several decades. Its estimated to account for 13% of all cases. There is pressure on hard-pressed surgeons to ease this toll by finding better ways of early diagnoses. And TexRAD seems to help that aim, by spotting tiny signs of trouble that unabated human sight might miss. The company is also developing diagnostic tools for liver cancer and certain heart problems. And it reckons its first CE mark will help it roll out its technology, not just across Europe, but the rest of the world. It shows one facet of TexRAD at least has passed some pretty strict testing. Unlike the beer in the Punters Return.
