RE: Surprised5 Jul 2025 15:18
I guess I do owe this Board an explanation having been a prominent poster until recent weeks. To be frank I have been worn down by the frustration caused by an extraordinary combination of events and circumstances
H&G is an excellent project - not just the mineable reserves for an 8-year copper-gold operation but with substantial expansion prospects on-strike and with the same geology. It may never be a Tier 1 operation but Tier 2 certainly. Fully permitted, zero debt and £5M of in-effect restricted cash - in the form of Blackstone shares.
So, what is wrong ?
Mostly Colin Bird. I don't know the guy but he is 80+ (we all get there we hope but must recognise what comes with it) and has little credibility in the market place. He did the Blackstone deal - we should remember that but there is a time to step-back. The lack of progress is despite the attempts by Roast PR to neutralise his negative impact, Bezant goes nowhere. Een the Roasties are puzzled as to why it seems.
If only H&G were to be put on the market into a 'shell' with cash or JV'd with an entity with bright and capable staff with new ideas. Will that happen ? Not a chance.
So, where do I stand. This is a massively undervalued opportunity in the right hands. I would love to see Blackstone take us over. Why ? Using existing numbers and no 'blue sky' this should be trading close to 1p. Will it ? possibly but I am beginning to wonder. In other hands the value might well emerge.
I live in hope that the forthcoming AGM will force a public update with substance and merit.
I am tired, worn-out and only in my 60s. What will I will be like if I make 80 ? Hmmm.
Over to you RMc and Mr T.
