If this is an attempt by Tang to screw shareholders then I for one will happily participate in any legal action!

I would never tempt fate and say the shares can’t drop below placing price!

You can bet your life that the placees rode this all the way up to 11p and sold and maybe even shorted it thereafter. They will be in the money even if this drops below 8p as most placings result in the share price dropping below the placing price.

It really is a shame this wasn’t done until after the elections and at a much higher price. The only thing to do now is to wait for the dust to settle so we can move forward.

There may be a chance of that…but some will take their 10% and move on.

I’ve yet to come across a share that doesn’t gravitate towards a placing price eventually. Hopefully GCM will be different.

Also, it’s not gone unnoticed how many new faces have suddenly appeared on the BB! A big hello to the placees and MMs involved!! lol

Can’t say I’m happy about the raise given we only had one a few weeks ago! They could have raised at a much higher price post election!

That being said it is what it is. Hopefully the placing won’t take too long to churn and we can move on up again

This is clearly being traded…plenty of sells smashing the price. Maybe they want to get in sub 10p again?!

Part of was thinking is the BNP win priced in now given we’ve moved from 6p to 10p? I don’t think it has been but some may see a 50% plus increase in a few days and think that’s it done 🤷‍♂️

It’s extremely encouraging to see it move from red to blue as it consolidates.

This rise is not over IMHO…not by a long shot!!!

Nice to see this mornings dip being eaten up. We are now back to flat.

A few more sizeable buys and we could go blue. As I said before, with the election this week, this is going to be pointless to trade as it is really only going in one direction!

Last change of govt this went from 17p to 90p in a day…and then from pennies to pounds in weeks! I think we may get a very similar reaction this time…especially when BNP have gone on record to state they will use domestic coal!!

It is quite clear that there are some that are trading this. That’s fine.

But what is also quite clear is that GCM is the strongest it’s ever been in terms of a green light for Phulbari should the BNP win the election this week (which everything seems to indicate they will)!

The question I keep asking myself is, will the GCM share price be lower or higher than now when BNP win? My view is it will be higher than today….MUCH HIGHER!

If we are going to use AI then this is what it says when you type in “GCM price prediction” in Googles AI mode:

Personally I think it is a tad on the conservative side but either way there is plenty of upside here if you are to believe things spouted out by AI!!

PS - I would add:

1. There is no news stating this…it is an AI generated summary based on god knows what information!

2. If it is true then it is a MASSIVE POSITIVE! They are protesting because they’ve learnt the Phulbari Coal Mine is being given the green light!!!

If this is to be believed then the most crucial thing in that article is:

It sounds like Phulbari coal mine is going ahead if BNP get into power (as is predicted)!!! Otherwise why protest?!

This is now LITERALLY becoming the case!

You can’t and don’t invest in such large infrastructure projects without having sound financial reasons for doing so.

The BNP are slowly building up to the green light by showing just how essential and critical the Phulbari coal mine will be for Bangladesh and its self reliance and prosperity.

This is becoming a no brainer more and more each day.

As Zak says, all the technicals are looking good for 15p very very soon…but this doesn’t account for all the positive news flow coming out of Bangladesh nor BNP election win which would be a HUGE positive for GCM.

To quote Zak Mir “Looking like this will be the ultimate breakthrough for the shares”….this will be in more ways than one and he doesn’t know just how right he is!!

No one is expecting a confirmation or green light of Phulbari the days or week or two after the BNP come to power.

But the BNP have gone on record to say they believe that domestic coal should be used. They will have to get a move on pretty quickly so the weeks and months post election will be critical.

You can pay 11p now…or pay multiples of that a few weeks down the line. It seems there are plenty that are happy to pay 11p and more now for just that reason!!

Good to see it SMASH 10p and consolidate there to let sellers out before the next push up!

Yes there may be a BNP rally going on this weekend in Bangladesh but regardless of whether coal is mentioned there or not we KNOW it is on the list for BNP and they fully support the use of own coal - Phulbari is the ONLY ready to go option!!

The real fireworks will begin when (not if IMHO) the BNP win the election…results could be known this time next week! We could see a multi bag rerate here!

True…but 10p is a psychological barrier I think. It was the same the last time we got near here it was difficult to move beyond it.

This time, I think we will smash it…and SOON!!

This should be 20p minimum based on all the pro own coal news that has been coming out of Bangladesh…particularly from those that are likely to win the election.

Add to this the fact that the election is days away then I think sentiment will only build to the positive.

It has become evident that the US can no longer be trusted as a trading partner so countries (including the U.K.!) are flocking to China…and guess who has the involvement of China for the Phulbari coal mine?!

Last time we had a change of govt in Bangladesh we went from pennies to pounds in a matter of weeks. I think the same may happen again…but this time GCM are in a far stronger position with the backing of China!
