Reckon he’s saying that we’re going to watch a repeat of something happened before. Could be Apollo coming back? Or another bid?

Wondering if anyone has had a response within the last 6 months?

So we’re all expecting a massive RNS next week?

Probably a good time to mention that Apollo valued Ingenuity at what was assumed to be around the 65-75p range. Pretty sure Nutrition and Beauty would be double that, at the very least.

JD will struggle because of the prices, not because of the demand for trainers. The same quality can be brought at cheaper prices elsewhere, Sports Direct being one of them. Even Primark sales didn’t slow last year so people are compromising quality for price, me included.

A quick browse of prices through the websites says it all. I’m not surprised with the slowdown in sales.

Superdry has always been based on cold weather. We don’t have as much as that as we used to, it’s pretty warm-ish in the U.K. and it’s February which is great for us but not so much for Superdry.

So unless Superdry is going to change their business model and get into warm weather clothes, they aren’t going to have the same success as they previously had.

Also, Superdry is expensive. Look at JD Sports, their profits have come down massively because people just don’t have the money to spend on clothes and trainers that are so much more expensive because of inflation. If budget clothing brands like Boohoo and Asos have been struggling for years, the whole of the clothing were always going to be impacted.

I used to be big on clothing stocks but I’m staying far away now. Nutrition and beauty is forever going to be growing and guess who has both - the very undervalued company being run by a mad man - MM.

It will 100% come tanking down back to the 30s.

Patiently waiting for that game changing RNS. I reckon it’s going to come in April.

I’d also like to add Vodafone, JD, Avon protection, Petrofac, Capita, even Boo and Asos to that list.

Our CEO at least complains, wants out, expresses his desire to leave the stock market etc. The other CEO’s aren’t nearly as vocal which gives me hope being invested here because change is needed in many places but not every place will take action.

I’m really disappointed by the current price but let’s have some patience. Clearly there are things in the works in the background, things could change with one RNS, as seen with Kelso around 8 months ago.

It was undervalued at 1.70 and everyone knows that it won’t reach that level organically on the LSE. So what’s next? I’m not sure, but I know something is happening behind the scenes and listing each division separately in the US could be it but it cannot happen overnight.

‘A very good trading update in what has been exceptionally challenging economic conditions. Again and unsurprisingly we see a muted response from the market with a small uplift in the SP and still well below where we started 2024. The priority has to be the separation of the divisions and/or a relisting elsewhere to achieve the true valuation for a sum of the parts of the business. Bring it on and the sooner the better’.

Guys everything tanked today, chill. Even Vodafone, jd sports, they all fell sharp at the same time.

It was just in the mid 80s a few weeks ago, no reason why we can’t achieve the same rise as we get closer to results.

This is the most profitable quarter due to Christmas, Black Friday, increase in consumer spending. I am not expecting bad results but the focus will always be on the bad, I suspect it will be regarding ingenuity.

I’ve been off this board during the Christmas break. What were the rumours that people are mentioning that I missed?

Who would have thought 2 years on where this would be right now.

Damn shame that the conversation is yet to change on this board for the last 2 years. Pretty sad that we’re still discussing the same crap, unfortunately MM will not be forced into accepting any offer even if this tanks after results.

Everyone is backing MM, I haven’t heard anything other than that.

We had hope with Apollo but we all saw what happened with the #NoThanks response. All we really have is for Kelso to continue with their suggestions though MM has no incentive to listen really, he’s untouchable even though the SP has dropped 90% in the past 3 years. Many here, like me, do not believe he has what it takes to unlock the value here and that’s mainly because of his arrogance. He’d rather do things his way than take reasonable advice.

I can’t believe how many people think MM is playing games here. Think ‘big picture’ guys, look at all of the people behind Kelso.

These guys all operate in the same circle and big changes don’t happen overnight, they take time and important to remember that the rich stay rich by keeping other rich people happy not by playing games.
