Hoping it doesn't go this way but given where we are I wonder how it will play out. It seems to me that Mysq and Tencent are aligned and have been since January. They have been working towards the end game whatever that turns out to be. Existing shareholders have paid for all the work this year but I fear will be squeezed out before any big change in revenues are confirmed. When the licence is in place this will move quickly. I think Tencent hold all the cards and so I cannot see any other party getting a look in. If it's 1.35p then it's still a good mark up from here and all the day traders who've been snapping up the shares will be happy. This will play into Tencents hands nicely. The LTHs with higher averages may be the ones to miss out. I hope it works out better than this but just been thinking it through. There's no denying the potential of the company now but will we be around to see it. If it does go this way then it's probably still a good time to add more and average down. Although whether we are actually at the bottom now is to be seen. All IMO. GLA.

The UK code on take overs doesn't apply. The BVI rules don't dictate a minimum price. The company's articles of association say any take over must be at the minimum of the highest price the incoming company has paid in the last 12 months. I don't know when they started accumulating but assuming it was shortly after the first conversion notice in April they may have paid 1.35p give or take. I can't see the bod saying no at that level if it's Tencent. Comparisons with past takeovers if this kind probably don't compare as those companies share prices were probably in much better shape. Of course if there was a bidding war things might be different but I think Tencent will get to 50% (using Mr Ks 10% as an insurance policy if need be to be sure of the take over). I hope things work out better than this but other opinions appreciated.

Perhaps unlikely, but if someone is acquiring behind the scenes (potentially 14% already as referred to in the June direction notices) and they get their hands on the Atlas bonds (worth c.25%) they might be going for 50%+ before disclosing so no-one else can counter-bid for control.

Given Mr K remains on the scene I hope either he knows what's coming given how long he's been connected with the company or he believes in what's happening. He too is significantly down like a lot of others. There's also comfort in KTS staying put.

If the 0.39% not in public hands refers to Neils and Piers holdings, they hold a big 3.5m shares between them. Wow.

Nextriser - I like the theory but I am not sure that is factual. It's business, so would someone pay more than they had to? I would hope the BOD would throw out a low offer but as time goes by with no comment from them on the price fall, I do wonder if it's all part of the strategy.

And why has the 9m trade appeared again on this site? It's there twice for yesterday now. Admin error maybe.

Previous large buys have been in smaller amounts apparently tucked away in small holding companies. This large buy was very different. It is almost as if they dont care who knows now. Both the sell and buy warrant TR1s. I think we'll very soon know what's going on......I should think it's days now not weeks. How about tomorrow? IMO.

Must be another big sell coming as the buy price has been static for a while even though the 5m has been bought up.
