It is important to consider that the five 'core' patents under consideration here are not the only ones that will be relevant to Samsung and/or others. Nanoco also possess patents with a much longer maturity, pertaining to QD composition, ligands etc for use in colour conversion (QD-OLED, Micro-LED), electroluminescence etc. They also have patents with longer maturity relating to a more refined molecular seeding process which enables the mass production of much better quality dots.

Add to the above patents in respect of 2D QDs and other related materials with near 20 yrs of lifetime remaining.

This is just the beginning. The future is very bright.

Nanosys.... just watch this space. I have said this again and again.

Tut tut... rumour has it that Samsung transferred Nanoco's technology over to Nanosys. This was done with a view to Nanosys becoming a second supplier of CFQDs and in anticipation of a vastly increased requirement following the advent QD-OLED.

Now mass produce it. THAT is the challenge.

I have stated previously and wish to do so again that the Petitioner's PTAB depositions re MCC were hopeless. While I'm unsure about 'emulsions', I'm not overly concerned as I believe they will be eviscerated at trial on the basis of MCC alone.

Agreed Hawi. The PTAB will be appealed. The court case will be appealed. This is expected. It is not and will not be 'news'.
