I always found the about turn from ‘never in a month of Sundays’ to ‘of course you pass mustard’ was pretty suspect regards Lusorecursos. My naivety put it down to political desire to develop the nascent industry even though there have been a number posters here, and elsewhere, who have more than hinted at internal networks, let’s put it like that.
As investigating authorities do their stuff and investigate, they are bound to cast their net so we We may be tainted with a general pong, but when it has been through the wash and under the microscope, we shall be stronger and better laced as a trusted partner, as I have no doubt that SAV have not been party to any questionable arrangements.
There have been lots of 3rd party, well respected, independent, international outsourcing for all aspects of the SAV applications - are they all dodgy or looking to be involved? No, it’s not that big a contract. So their work will stand as accepted under the DIA. As the company says, work will continue its course as required.
Yes, we will no doubt be in for a bumpy ride but this could be very positive once Portugal has exorcised its own potential demons, preferring to put its trust in an accountable entity. You might even think that local people would perhaps value this external option rather than a local cabal and the gut feeling that they were being shafted.
