Note due to all the history , Santos and ENI / Koreans , who took over Bayu Undan and the Eastern Darwin complex from Conoco Phillips, advanced Barossa and Evans Shoal (ENI) to replenish Darwin via a new hub at Barossa pipeline to Darwin and the current pipeline Bayu-Undan to Darwin REVERSED as waste and carbon to Bayu for storage only.
Others that left frustrated , Conoco , Shell , Nexen , BHP , Inpex and many others.......
Only INPEX , who retained a oil license behind Bayu but did nothing with it, have come back in that they returned to an office on TL , sold that license off and have inquired about involvement with Japan , in Natarbora developments, so as said the signs are appearing, big boys starting to pay attention again.
Remember the Timor Sea was hailed in Australia's parliament in the 70's as THE NEW MIDDLE EAST, the Australian Waters and Indonesian waters , have been PROLIFIC for 50 years, so they all know what is on offer, if they explore the mostly unexplored Timor Leste section of the Timor Sea, it being the filling of the OZ and Indonesian sandwich.
Those discovered Bayu , Kelp, Sunrise, Chuditch all on trend with those dozens of huge discoveries in the waters either side of TL, so little doubt more to be found on those typically 3000-4000 sq km licenses when explored..... 🤔
TL knows it, the industry knows it and after 22 years of , we want it all to the Island, the sector we don't want to go to the Island, the worm turned , as said BUILD IT and they will come (back) 👍
Fingers and toes crossed , AB looking for that extra farm out, with one of those, when things fall into place, post drill, not another minnow to share OUR spoils later.......GLA
