FEAR is expensive… I Know.…TRUE STORY!!!22 Feb 2026 12:59
I once read that Bitcoin’s biggest gains came from only a handful of trading days. Miss just the 10 best days over a few years and most of your profits disappear and sometimes returns even turn negative. Think about that! If you were out of the market during those big days because of short-term noise, you missed the move completely.
I learned this lesson the expensive way. I owned Bitcoin when it was around $100 and sold too quickly because I read somewhere that it was a Chinese scam. lol!! When it reached $1,000, I waited for a crash or a big dip to buy back. Then it moved to $5,000–$6,000 and I waited for $3,000. A chance that never came and I never bought it again.
The same happened with ETH. I bought ETH below $100 and $200 but sold too soon on a dip and then wanted to re-enter. Instead, it ran past >$4,500. Those were premium priced life lessons for me.
Fear, insecurity, and the belief that we can outsmart the market often cost far more than the dip itself ever would!
AIM drifters rarely make big money. They sell on fear, buy back on excitement, make a little, lose a little, and repeat the cycle until eventually they give it all back. Most miss the big moves and end up chasing higher prices.
You see this a lot on AIM. A small dip or a few negative posts on LSE BB and conviction disappears overnight. Many of the loudest posters don’t even hold shares. Ask yourself, do you really want advice from people who have no skin in the game? I believe without taking risk, life rarely changes.
Market makers understand investor psychology better than most investors understand themselves! Once you sell out, getting back in becomes very difficult because you start fighting your own mind while the price keeps moving higher. MMs don’t wait for you to feel comfortable again. That’s why it’s important to write down the reasons you bought the stock in the first place. If those reasons haven’t changed, why sell?
Review your reasons daily or weekly. Add new ones or remove old ones if the story changes. My SIX biggest reasons for buying NTVO are:- 1) Gold/silver macro bull market, 2) Transition into producer (huge credibility jump), 3) Processing plant, 4) Insider positioning, 5)Tailings silver dumps 6) Low valuation vs assets. As long as gold and silver keep moving higher, I believe I will make very decent returns on my investment. Short-term delays or noise don’t bother me. If you see my posts, I add during delays and noise.
I don’t sell because someone posts something negative on LSE. Sometimes people bring their frustrations/depression/anxiety onto this BB. In my view, posts often reflect someone’s state of mind. If someone feels negative or depressed or sick, that energy shows. Negative posts say more about the poster than the company. The company is clearly making progress!!!
Big money is rarely made by timing every move. It’s made by conviction, patience, and staying in the market long enough for the big days to fin
