EK, lol and that is laughs. and the answer is YES.
Well Tesla are not just a car maker, like old ICE companies and even newer EV builders.
They are diversifying and they will keep growing turnover for the foreseeable future IMHO, so YES.
If you watched the interview on WSJ the other night.
He said he now goes to where he is most needed, and presently that is mostly for Space X development.
Just shows how far Tesla has come and the quality of teams now working in Tesla divisions.
So he already taking a more off hands approach.
Dog,
Have you ever seen The Electric Viking, Sam. I watched one of his vids today, he actually puts out too many, but i like his quiet manner and on appearance it seems a lot of research. Anyhow, it was a long one, over 30 minutes all about his opinion for who the big players will be by 2030, and it was Tesla and Chinese BYD with VW 3rd. I wont mention all makers but a smaller sized Ford and GM were still there, with lots of the smaller Chinese car builders. Interesting stuff with all the background graphs and sales figures over the past 10 years that had analysis. IB
Only slightly down on the October high of 54,000..
third month over 50k.
So possible 600,000 next 12 months, with more ramping to come.
I will take that, and the profit margins. thankyou
Plain talking Elon. Nice.

ok, rock bottom was the wrong phrase.
But the sell off is certainly rebounding from a plunge low point, over the last two days on wall st.
Just look at all the blue stock movement.
If you had spare money and got Tesla when it touched $950, well done.
bye bye
She is actually using ARK resources to buy other rock bottom technology stock that she has selected for there 5 year growth plan.
Dog,
So future buildings for possible European manufacture of $25,000 car and Semi ?
Looks like 12/9 could be nothing. Elon was interviewed yesterday evening and advised no special announcement coming that day.
Good one Dog.
RNS, Durrrrh. Yes, forgot, not on LSE.
The water usage issue was addressed some time ago, but Enviro groups do not want to believe that Tesla will use less water than other comparable factories.
Latest drone view of Grun shows lots of tarmac being laid down and more acres of cleared land, but it looks a long way from the main factory for the parking and transporter lading bays, very curious? Impressive construction technique with the slot together concrete beams at the latest building site; very quick.
yes, i saw a vid of somebody using the latest 10.6 Beta, and wow! it gets more impressive on every upgrade.
Thanks.
Possibly official opening of Berlin is difficult, German red tape had not been fully cleared/secured and the 9th is this Thursday.
Elon tweeted he would organise an open day like the Berlin factory event, and i think that would have to happen before a full production run. Tesla would not want thousands of people there, if staff were manufacturing.
Announcement of stock split is a possibility, if the board have approved it, but surely we would need to see an RNS Thursday morning.
It would be good to see some Semi trucks handed over.
Like you said Dog it could be nothing or a big surprise and Elon playing mind games, (the jokester) . Or Cybertruck .
Another fun day on the Tesla rollercoaster.
Would anyone like to speculate what announcement might happen on Dec 9th.? It could turn out to be a very interesting day for the share price.
Apparently, there are currently 8 Ro-Ro ships on route to Europe from Shanghai with more loading everyday.
At approx 8,000 per car carrier that is 64,000.
Europe's EV sale fiqure climbing for number 1 spot in December, me thinks.
I didn't know you had a sense of humour.
Hi Dog,
Yes, i have seen the new foundations going in at Shanghai. These are for the giant steel columns for the next factory expansion.
Tesla have not advised exactly how the area will be used, only that they intend to add a further 4,000 employees at the Giga factory. Staff will then total 19,000. This is to enable the further ramp-up of China output to at least 1.5million cars per annually and edge towards 2 Million over coming years. Also, there is speculation it will enable the $25,000 vehicle production to start. But IMHO that will require a bigger footprint, as they want to get 2 million of those as well. So as usual we will have to wait and see. But their is no stopping the expansion, Tesla being Cash generative every quarter now.
Yes, seen the vid and reports.
Tesla model Y expected to become best selling car of all time.
Just need the new factories to ramp up.
Pretty damn well i heard, and that is without Giga Berlin producing yet.
Overall EV sales hits 30% of market recently.
ICE sales are going to drop off a cliff, the trend is already set.
I have read a little bit about the GM Hummer EV and apparently it sold out it pre-orders for 2022 within an hour.
However, they have not confirmed to the media what total this pre-order at $1,000 at booking actually is?
Guesses range from 500 to 10,000 vehicle production for next year. It will cost $114,000 and only comes with basic features for 2022. Then more features and software added in 2023 and 2024 as they solve design issues.
What a sorry Auto company. So desperate to try and get some EV sales, they are launching inferior vehicle at a high price, and probably not a lot of profit margin. Competition, what competition. IMHO.
By the way. Electric batteries will end up being 90% recyclable.
So not a toxic issue in the future.
Redwood Recycling of Utah in US is pioneering and finding solutions for efficient battery recycling. They are investing $1 billion to build a new factory facility to enable up scaling of their new processes. The company is run by Elons old Tesla start-up partner J B Straubel. He realised the necessity and potential for Lithium batt recycling.
Going along with your thinking. Great, lets have EV now and get rid of all the ICE vehicles. All for it.
H can come long after the EV revolution, and i would rather not have a big tank of explosive fuel in the back of my car.
Maybe, fuel cells might prevent that?
EK,
I didn't say a timescale. But the Tesla semi will have some features the existing ICE truck builders of America will struggle to compete with. Freightliner, which is the largest supplier with average sales of 190,000 semi's each year will start to sell their new EV truck later next year, but their batteries give a range of 250 miles. Nothing like Tesla 500ml range. Also, Tesla have FSD auto driving software and propose the ability for one driver to Convoy up to 3 Semi trucks over long distance routes, interesting idea? It will be a slow production ramp, but eventually Tesla will be big. It a question of getting enough batteries and Tesla priority is the sells more cars at the moment. We will all see where they are in 5 years time.
