How long do you think it will take SGN to apply for/build a pipeline when they don't even know if Portland Port will ever get the go-ahead. Pure fantasy. No gas transmission network in this neck of the woods.

The "truth" and what UKOG say on many occasions have been very far apart on a number of occasions.

They got rid of the gas holder in Weymouth many many moons ago.

RNS says;

"The land lies above the thickest onshore part of the Dorset Triassic salt deposit and is also in close proximity to SGN's planned H2 Connect hydrogen pipeline,"

Tweet now says;

Amazing how they can get away with tweeting one thing but are very clever about what they say in the RNS. But I'm guessing the mugs will believe anything. Cue ocelot.

I don't think they will be using the "gas distribution network" for hydrogen. The "gas transmission network" is clearly marked and annotated as North Dorset.

RWE is pleased to have been awarded UK Government funding for initial investigative Front End Engineering Design (FEED) studies for an electrolyser plant to produce green hydrogen at RWE’s Didcot site, Oxfordshire.

The study will be essential to understanding the potential design of plant, any environmental considerations and the consenting pathway. It is envisaged that if realised the project could produce hydrogen to support the decarbonisation of the region with a mix of viable offtake routes present.

During the FEED study the exact location, plant layout and potential infrastructure needed will be assessed and determined. Once the key design points and impacts of the project have been established, we will engage fully with the local community and stakeholders.

It would have been but UKOG were running out of cash and needed to get a placing away. Two birds with one stone. Pay off the loan and get a bit of cash in hand. It gave them a bit of breathing space to hold a GM to raise more money.

A wise man would get rid of the remaining shares whilst the SP is at the present level but I'm not sure there are many of them on the UKOG Board.
