The company didn't have funds to cover the extra perf guns, the delay in keeping staff on site and all the other guff that goes with drilling a well.

DL won't be able to fund the HH-3 for at least 10 years unless he raises the cash.

How can the court case be a walkover if it was only a 2-1 last time. I make that 66% to 33% which is close to 50/50 than 100/0.

Not one consultation has been approved for Dunsfold even though the consultation period closed a month ago.

Uranus has 27 moons which is even more than DL has companies. I'm guessing his quest for cash will take equally as long for the next onshore well to be drilled in the UK. It is well over 12 months since an onshore O or G well was drilled.

Very difficult to keep up to date with the BGS. They keep on adding information. There is however a 3/4/5 year delay in release of information depending on when the Licenses were started and the date the well was completed. Unfortunately some of it is above my pay grade.

"UK Oil & Gas PLC (London AIM: UKOG) announces that the Company and Aladdin Middle East, the Pinarova-1 operator, have jointly decided to temporarily suspend testing operations pending access to larger, more powerful, 7-inch perforating guns, capable of fully penetrating Pinarova's 9⅝-inch casing and cement. The decision results from analysis of downhole pressure gauge data from testing operations, which indicates that the 4.5-inch perforating guns used have been unable to establish direct contact with the formation through the casing and cement.

Consequently, to date, tests have not yet been able to assess the potential of the zones associated with the 12 hours of strong crude oil odour and oil at surface as previously reported on May 3rd, 2023.

AME had previously advised that the 4.5-inch perforating guns were the largest available in-country and are now working with the sole licenced perforating gun provider in our operational area of SE Turkey to source the required equipment.

A further update will follow when the date of testing operation resumption becomes clear."

Why the appeal was dismissed in the first place;

"On balance, I consider that when these various documents are read together, it cannot be said that Surrey CC completely ignored the potential global warming effect of the proposed development. The question was raised by the scoping opinion, objections based on climate change were noted and considered; the development plan document explicitly referred to adverse impacts resulting from processing remote from the wellhead, and officers' overall conclusion was both that the development was consistent with the development plan and also that it would not give rise to unacceptable environmental impacts. Whether the downstream greenhouse gas emissions were or were not to be regarded as indirect effects of the project was a question of judgment for Surrey CC. Although it would have been preferable for more explicit consideration to have been given to that question, I have concluded (not without hesitation) that the reasons just about pass muster."
