I think Andy McCue about to be replaced by another clown, Ronald McDonald. Probably make a better job of it. Surprised the SP has gone down at the departure of this idiot. Maybe depressed due to him not leaving right away and still in a position to continue to damage the company. Anyway, feeling a bit hungry and looking for an overpriced, under valued, empty and excessively noisy restaurant. Any Ideas?
Maybe Doms should invent a Yoyo Pizza in memory of the share price movement.
At the least the engineered drop has given the city boys and shorters a chance to scoop up some cheap shares. Probably back towards the £3 eventually when it will still be 25% below value last year.
A bit of a coincidence, both at 2.68%, as if in a pact/deal. Strong possibility that they are attempting to keep the price artificially low for a bid in the near term. Interesting to see whether they have increased these last few days.
Richred,
That is a possibility. Whenever Norges or Deutche bank submit RNS, the only thing certain is they are up to some underhand dealings. If they operated in the US like they do here, they would have been wound up.
There is no dispute that May is useless, however, if you want to see share price movement, then wait for a general election. The Corbynisa effect will cause so much capital flight. It may be worth investing in Travis Perkins/B and Q as they will sell plenty of wheelbarrows to carry your pounds and shares around in.
No, I do not think they finished the program before Christmas, using a new technique of buying at depressed share price.
They could have saved the broker fee and got a monkey to throw darts at a share chart instead, only drawback is that you would have to pay the broker to feed the monkey.
Zippy, It does not really matter what the price is, The feeding pigs are at the trough, picking up magic bean shares that cost nothing. If this was linked to the wealth generated for the owners of the company. i.e. me and you, they would be paying us money. Hang on, just thinking about it, these magic bean shares are not really free shares to everyone. We pay for them with the dilution of our portfolio. The only consolation is that come Christmas, we can share our wealth with these rich leeches.
The price drop occurred at the exact same time that a massive amount of derivatives went through at 100pence. I am certain that this is a pure coincidence because the city boys would not do anything underhand. I think 98 pence was a good buy in price. Time will tell.
They have made a good job of trashing the share price, then buying back 4% at a bargain price when the markets are in turmoil. The next task is to keep the price below 1.30 and buy the rest back which in this current climate they will probably be able to manage.
Market didn't seem to like the long standing CEO before he announced he was stepping down.
