you need to buy before ex-div date, buying on ex-div date means you miss the dividend. he was prob restricted from buying before the div date.

How much money will this be worth
the RNS says 6 figures, so I'd guess at anywhere between 250k - 950k, but only 75% in cash.

I posted this yesterday and got blasted for it, guess they dont want to accept it.

Cineworld investors "will get zero" after the cinema operator said it was filing for bankruptcy in the US.
That's according to Barry Norris, founder of short seller Argonaut Capital, who said the company's management used too much debt for acquisitions to build an empire in a "sunset industry".
He told Bloomberg: "The capital structure is completely unsustainable, and that's why it's going bust."
Mr Norris added that Cineworld had the chance to raise equity but opted not to.

When I went to see Jurassic Park, evening showing, there were 6 people in the screen, no one they have so much debt.

The were installing FTTP in my old small town beginning of the year, I since have moved to another small town, which got FTTP about 3 weeks ago.

Personally im looking forward to Oct, the placing was well above these prices at 20p, so you bet your bottom dollar that the directors are doing everything they can to get it back there.
