I am also puzzled by this "divestment" I saw mentioned a loss to BP of £20+ Billions.
I am assuming BP did not remove/disable/destroy these assets? Will Putin stop selling oil/gas?
Where does that money go to, if not a gift to finance Putin's war?

I joined last June, with 17K at 32p on a great story.
Every time they fell, I topped up.
Then they fell again! And I topped up...

Latest strategy is, having spent up, at 53K NO more buys, so we should start rising.

As my dividends roll in, I have been steadily adding DV for over a year now.
Bought in originally at 30p

I'm hoping the market is not infallible.
And added 10% to my holding.

As we gently inch upward, may I add my best wishes for the turn of the year to GB and all on this road.
As a (very) amateur Long time buyer/holder/investor, I am in awe at much of the knowledge (or inspired guesses?) here.
This is a company with ideas to benefit society as a whole, and as such I remain a happy "stakeholder" as well as hopeful for other rewards.
Be kind to each other, it's needed just now.
I am a lucky guy anyway. (even though 12% down ATM :-) )

Another sad LTH from 9 years - one of my "Blue Chips" then, at £3 to £4.
Death and taxes not the only certainties, shares do go down, also hoping for a pick up one day...

Just squeezed another 4138 in @29p :-)

I'm not a proper trader, but after losing heavily, I added when they were in the hole, and now my second biggest (after 3i) is up 44% now. Just another perspective.
(but also went big on ASA resources... :-( etc)

Almost every investment can have negatives on this outlook. While it is right to cast a beady eye on these areas, any flight from Western companies in problem places/products will always have the opposite effect desired.
Much less scrutinized/moral actors will move in to these areas, and make matters worst.
ie - too often the "perfect" is the enemy of the "good"
Works in politics and most aspects of life. Sigh. :-(
